Inventory Cars - Can FSD be removed without an SA?

You can just do it from your account. Log on to tesla.com and go to the vehicle detail page, there should be an option to remove FSD. I did it last month.

    Inventory question

I talked to tesla and they told me that they cant do that for me. My difference is 1000, so not as much. Is there someone specific to talk to or just call the tesla number?

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

My car is Model 3 AWD LR, 18,000miles. I run TeslaMate (search the thread here for details - self hosted version with functionality similar to TeslaFi).

Steering wheel resistance - low speed

Thanks! I have made a service appointment. Just to clarify, I am not trying to do this in place, but when at really slow speeds, such as backing out of a parking spot/ driveway. My front tires are worn and close to about 5/32. I thought this would actually make it easier to turn than harder. I...

Steering wheel resistance - low speed

I have noticed that when I am backing out of parking and trying to turn the wheel all the way, there is a lot of resistance turning the steering wheel all the way. I have the setting in comfort mode. In normal driving, usually at 10+ mph, the resistance is not that noticeable. However, in...

Purchasing Used Model 3 from non Tesla Dealer, can I Supercharge to get home?

I have done this. Bought in Jacksonville FL and drive up to Atlanta GA. Started at 100% (stayed at hotel with destination charger) and stopped twice at superchargers. We were a little anxious, but it worked. 2nd stop was more precautionary to have some extra juice, since I did not have 240v...

Has anyone really used a 12V pump to fill tire?

I figured out what the issue was, it was me! Both these units have a setting to set the desired maximum pressure. It appears that this was set around 35 psi. So when I turned the unit on, since my tire pressure was more than this preset value, the unit would turn off. When I tried this in my...

    Mobile app 3.10.0, Homelink

I am in the same boat, no AP, no FSD and no homelink button in the app. However, I have been able to trigger one garage to open using the Tesla Tasker app using the Toggle Homelink. (I have 2 doors programmed, it opened door #2). Door #2 was added after updating to v10 and app 3.10. Door #2 does...

Has anyone really used a 12V pump to fill tire?

I must be definitely doing something wrong. The first one I bought is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G96ZC5X After plugging in and connecting the hose to the tire, I turned it on, it would come on for a micro second and then turn on. My tire was at 42 PSI, so I figured this one...

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

Looks like they realized the pricing mistake, new email lists trade in price at 38,500.

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

That is what happened today. Last time I did it, I received the email with the quote. I havent received another email today, so maybe Tesla has changed the process since last month? *Your Trade-In credit is your Kelley Blue Book Value ($43,800) minus the estimated payoff amount you provided ($0).

I did. That is what was generated.

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

New base LR AWD 47990 + 1200 (delivery fee) Difference is $5390 - $1875 (federal credit) = $3515. I have added some additional money for registration and difference in GA TAVT based on purchase price of car minus trade in value.

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

My service adviser told me that I had to order prior to 9/10 to benefit from those, but I guess you are correct. Again, those would be additional incentives and not factored into my cost analysis above.

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

I have seen Tesla list CPO cars like mine at around 2-3k higher than what they offered me. Now to Tesla, adding AP to a car is a zero cost upgrade. They do not have any used inventory in ATL so maybe it is worth it for them to buy back? Just wishful thinking?
  16. gdgtgeek

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

So you are saying that the price they provided would be reduced by $3k to account for the fact that the car is missing AP? If that is the case, I would want to know that upfront.

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

Current car is black with 18" wheel. I dont really care that much about the color, I would just go with the white. The color I want is Blue, so if early Dec they offer incentives (2 free upgrades), then I would use one to get the color and potentially the other one to upgrade the wheels to the 19"

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

I just used this Trade-in Value | Tesla and put in my VIN and other info accurately. It sent me an email with the quote. I guess this is something that I can ask the advisor

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

No such issues. The previous owner did tire rotation only once (right before he sold it) which means that fronts are at 5/32 and rears are at 8/32 which means I will need new tires in about a year. So if you factor that cost in.. probably weighs towards trading it in. Does tesla care whether...

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

In hindsight, I think I got swept up in the excitement of buying this amazing car that if I had waited for a couple of weeks, I could have taken advantage of the early Sept upgrades and freebies and ended up being better off. Oh well...

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

All of those have been factored in. GA does one time TAVT of 7%, no sales tax (title fee is 200 on top of that). On a trade in TAVT is based on the difference in new price vs old price.

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

Not get AP and save more. I drive to work about 30 miles each way in stop and go traffic and am thinking that AP would be valuable. Don't care that much about FSD. Another option is to wait a few months and see if there are any incentives in Dec (like free upgrades/ free supercharger miles) and...

Trade in for new or buy AP to my Model 3

So I bought a used Model 3 (LR AWD) last month. It did not come with AP (or FSD). The cost differential vs buying a brand new one was about 4500. The car was built in 10/18. At that time, I was under the impression that I could retroactively add EAP or buy AP for 2000 and FSD for 3000 on top of...

TeslaMate: Yet another self-hosted data logger for your Tesla

Can you please explain the values for the temperatures graph - specifically is_climate_on and fan_status? I am looking at some vampire drain charts with high drain where climate on is 1 and fan status is usually a non 0 number such as 3 or 5. Thanks!

Another battery/ range question LR AWD Range 250!

Miles/ / % almost always yields 300 or close to it, which is not far from the stated 310, well within the range.

Another battery/ range question LR AWD Range 250!

I have TeslaMate running (service like TeslaFi but on a self hosted environment) on a home computer logging data for me. It is possible that TeslaMate itself is causing higher than normal battery usage (vampire drain), but I have been monitoring states at the car goes to sleep at home (Sentry...

Another battery/ range question LR AWD Range 250!

Thanks for the feedback. I did spend some time in stop and go traffic. My usage was 28 kWh at 228 Wh/mile

Another battery/ range question LR AWD Range 250!

The reason I am posting this is because what I am seeing appears to be well outside the norms of battery degradation. Battery was charged to 80%. At about 31% (so 49% usage), I got 122.4 miles. Extrapolating this to 100% means (122.4/49% = 250 (rounded up). That is a significant drop. I had...
