FS: Tesla Yacht Floor Obeche Wood Gloss, brand new - SOLD

FS: Tesla Yacht Floor Obeche Wood Gloss, brand new I am selling a brand new, never used Tesla Yacht Floor (insert in the center console area) in Obeche Wood Gloss finish. I've used a CCI instead since day one. Price is $400 shipped. I would ask the buyer to send me their carpet piece (that...

[updated with *] P85D 691HP should have an asterisk * next to it.. "Up to 691HP"

Really well put @andrewket, @thegruf, and others. Tesla needs to mature and understand that it is THE electric car/tech/car company to beat. They don't need to be that little puppy yapping at it's owner's pant legs anymore; they have a seat at the table now. No need for grandiose claims...

Where can I buy tesla brake caliper cover?

Just purchased directly from MGP caliper covers. Red (or I'm assuming other colors available) pop-in covers, set of 4 for $200. They can put the Tesla logo on the covers for additional $70 (black or silver color, white is add'l $20). Turnaround time is about 2 weeks. I have a P85+ but missed...

Why buy a new S when one can save 20-40K on used?

Well, factor in the $7500 tax credit for the new 85D. Also other newer options that may/not matter to you eg Next Gen seats, reported better build quality, black alcantara headliner. But, I do agree, if you don't care about AP or dual motor, it certainly is not worth buying a new 85D over a...

Tesla Model S CPO Website - Now Live

Huh? A new 85D with 19s, pano roof, tech, no AP, air, sound, subzero, premium is $90k after rebate. Loaded CPO P85 is about $70k. Let's not exaggerate here.

    Cancelling Order, current options

Hi there, I have an order for an 85D to be delivered late May, not yet in production. I currently have a P85+ and still love it; but ordered the D for the usual reasons... Just looking at all my options: because I still have an awesome car now and am sure there will be plenty of options to get...

Tesla Model S CPO Website - Now Live

So just confirming above: wouldn't it be better (vs CPO "reset" warranty) to buy a private party Model S (assuming competitive price) with, say, a couple years left on its original warranty and budget in a purchase of an extended warranty at the end of the original one? So 6 years total...

    April 30th Event SPECULATION: 100kWh Battery + 2.8s 0-60 Model S to be announced?

Kind of, I was one of them; but the P85D was different enough in that it added speed, AWD, and AP. Us classic owners didn't order the last two (tongue-in-cheek). A P100D just adds speed (and maybe 10 real-world miles), so it's close enough to hurt! I personally think TM has hit it big in the...

    April 30th Event SPECULATION: 100kWh Battery + 2.8s 0-60 Model S to be announced?

I think, if anything, Elon would show at the event that the 2.8s Model S exists and may even be available in limited quantities, but it might end up like battery swapping did - possible but not really present. The main announcement is home storage as already stated above. I agree that he would...

    Reality of the NextGen Seats?

There are horizontal seams and vertical seams on the standard rear seats, so they can coordinate with either standard or Next Gen fronts, imo. But, the now defunct Next Gen rears were a 100% match for the NG fronts, so it's a shame they are gone.
  22. justaddsun

Is the suspension the same on all models now?

I don't get it. I love the 70D but there's a reason why it's priced so much less than a P85D: 2 seconds and 300hp difference (although that remains to be verified)! People flipped their 4 second P85s and about $40k for P85Ds -- I don't think there was much of a value proposition there. Iit was...

    P85 Classic faster after 6.2?

Laughing at myself as I type this, but I also feel that my P85+ (19" wheels) is not only slightly quicker, but smoother on acceleration than before. After update to .153. Absolutely no data to base that on, unfortunately.
  24. justaddsun

Anyone regret getting the rear facing seats?

I agree with @ohaq. They are starting to get pricey. Some of the people who have posted use them a lot more than I have. We've used our rear-facing seats an average of once/3-4 months for a short trip in town. I will admit that sometimes with a car full of our kids' amazed friends, it does...

    Pricing change rant

Agree w/ FlasherZ, it's worth pointing out that the OP is interested in adding next gen seats and air suspension. Huge "contact points" of the car, every minute of every drive. Worth pushing TM for, worth waiting for. Of course, I should take my own advice at times :|...

    Pricing change rant

They are also refunding or adjusting the sale price on my order to reflect the correction in the new Premium pkg from $5000 to $3000. Not exactly the same situation, but kind of is.

    Pricing change rant

It's not stupid. I'm assuming you've saved up a lot of $4370s along the way to have this and other finer things in life. It bothers me more that your DS is telling you something that is not true just because he/she does not want to make that extra phone call or email. A week ago I was in your...

    Pricing change rant

You can cancel your order, back out of the queue, and make a new order, under new price/option structure, delivery in June; transfer your deposit to the new order. 31. justaddsun

    Relative handling of 85, 85D, P85, P85D

The P85+ showed a huge improvement in handling and "planted" feeling over the P85 that I drove. The 85D I drove recently, prior to this latest performance update, felt much more tossable in the corners; with the front wheel gripping in the corners to pull the front end under control and out...

Dear Tesla: Please add Power Liftgate as a separate option

So Premium includes the liftgate still, but they just took $2000 off?
  34. justaddsun

    Upgraded 85D?

I appreciate your frustration, but remember you have probably the top 1-2% of performance vehicles out on the road right now. The P85+ (and presumably P85) has been clocked 0-60 at 3.9 secs (I believe Motor Trend published this). These are beyond/above (?) first world problems! Find a stretch...

If you do not mind, Please post your trade in offer from Tesla so we can compare note

Has anyone gotten a trade-in quote from Autonation or Carmax recently? Was it reasonable, which usually means, lower limit of what you are comfortable with :)? I realize there is another thread on those stores, but it is a bit outdated. Also, regarding trading in to a local dealership, is...

Dear Tesla: Please add Power Liftgate as a separate option

Doubt it. That would require retooling or changing the manufacturing process, at least with the aluminum, not to mention reallocation of design resources. All of that should be going to the X, and Model 3. I think the impact of changing the headlight cluster ("next gen" LED headlights) and...

Dear Tesla: Please add Power Liftgate as a separate option

    Tesla cuts 60kWh Model S, entry-level Model S is now 70D.

Just heard that the Tysons Tyco Rd, VA showroom will have 2 70Ds to test drive this Friday. Amazing how fast TM can move when they want to.

Power Liftgate now part of Premium Package

I agree, it is painful to add that option. But, fog lights are in there as well as alcantara headliner now.
  43. justaddsun

    Tesla cuts 60kWh Model S, entry-level Model S is now 70D.

Alcantara headliner used to be $1500, premium interior used to be $3500. Now they are combined, more or less, for $5000. I wouldn't be surprised to see more non-Nappa in this new Premium pkg, though, given the change to more ambiguous wording.
  44. justaddsun

    Tesla cuts 60kWh Model S, entry-level Model S is now 70D.

Sorry to be redundant, but seems like at least for an 85D configuration, the old tech pkg was $4250, now it is broken out into standard features and the $2500 autopilot option while NOT raising the base price much ($500). That's a pretty big deal; not sure why TM didn't also announce this...

    Tesla cuts 60kWh Model S, entry-level Model S is now 70D.

We've known for a while that the 85D can do 0-60mph in 4.3-4.4 sec, real world, even when TM said it was 5.2 sec upon initial release. I think the changes in the figures today is just them restating what has always been there.
