V11 is going to be HUGE!

There could also be settings for preferred default width in display submenu. Narrow mode might even give enough space for splitscreen map/music/whatever. Endless possibilities and we are stuck with this :(

V11 is going to be HUGE!

Vertical divider should be dynamic. When parked wider car with animations is kinda cool. When drive is selected give us a wider map. When reversing wider cameras or if 360° view is deployed maybe then insert camera feed around car on the left and keep it as wide as necessary. If fsd is activated...

Unexpected range loss in extreme cold

If your car is plugged it will use grid electricity before battery whether you are charging or not. Just note that net draw can be more than charger can provide when preheating, and then of course energy from battery will be used. In your case temperatures will not be a problem as long as you...

Unexpected range loss in extreme cold

I have old school 2019 LR AWD so no heat pumps. Also not my first winter but was my first +2h drive in such temperaturs. Yes it shows coolant temperatures. It also shows cell min and max. All temperatures were within few degrees coolant loops included. Makes sense, and yes, started from DC...

Unexpected range loss in extreme cold

So today I had a 220km trip starting with -15C and from midpoint to end about -25C. Not only that but also 6m/s headwind. So very rare and quite extreme conditions. Usually at least wind is closer to zero when temperature is below -20 degrees. So I estimated my consumption to be 260wh/km which...

Precondition car plugged in vs not plugged in

It can pull more than 11kW, closer to 14kW. Because preheating from the app also activates battery heater which takes 7kW (LR models), cabin heater 6kW and rest for the computers, seat heaters and so on. Sucks if you need every last drop of range in colder climate and also need to defrost...

    Battery heating while preconditioning cabin

It's not going to be enough to decelerate you in any significant way at higher speeds, but it's better than nothing and otherwise lost energy would be harvested to something much more usable (heating battery and/or cabin). And 14kW for those purposes is plenty. Even if you have to apply brakes...

    Battery heating while preconditioning cabin

Dual motor models draw twice the power for battery heating due to having two motors heating. It's true that when temperature is mild enough 5-10min of preheating is sufficient, but when temperatures get -10C to -30C, it might take over 15min to defrost the windows with full power from cabin...

    Battery heating while preconditioning cabin

Motors can definitely handle the heat load of couple kw and warmer battery is also of course beneficial for the battery health and user experience. I would still like to know the reasons for this half forced heating, because the car still lets me drive with cold battery if I simply don't preheat...

    Battery heating while preconditioning cabin

Can anyone confirm the behaviour of cabin/battery heating that happens in my model 3? Everytime when I start cabin heater from app the battery heater kicks in and motors pull the 7kw like they do when heating battery. Checked from scanmytesla and total battery draw can be as high as 14kw. 7kw...

    Cruise control sucks

Are you guys serious that current system is good? Or that when activating TACC it can set +50kmh above speedlimit is safe? Or that it limits use of autopilot 30kmh below the limit is preferable? Funny thing is that with any other manufacturer I would just accept it as it is. Because what else...

    Cruise control sucks

What I meant was when traffic stops completely there is no way to change how much space car leaves in front of me. Or at least closest setting is way too far.

    Cruise control sucks

TACC of TM3 is maybe the worst I have driven. I admit that one reason for being is that Tesla could easily fix these issues (which many are just preferences) unlike any of the previous cars that I've owned. Most of the issues are related to speed limit data which is wrong more often than right...

This truck design had better be a joke....

Only minor changes and it's not nearly as bad

    Shortcut to sport mode needed?

I never use voice commands so I'd like to customize right wheel button. Chill/standard toggle would be perfect.

    Bought FSD today

If the FSD would be personal licence which would apply all my current and future Teslas there's a chance I would buy it with current price. 2k at maximum for my current Model 3. I'm keeping it max 5 years and imo it's almost zero chance it is going to reach full 100% FSD capability in that time.
