Tesla does provide loaners. Honestly, the main reason we bought Teslas is for the self driving aspect. Not all Tesla loaners have self driving enabled and so I personally prefer to get Uber credits.

I wish it would have been a temporary problem... Good thing is Tesla has the car now and will sort thing out, I hope... I will post once we here back from Tesla :)

For all your running the stock 22 inch rims, what PSI do you run your tires at? I've read higher PSI numbers can lower the rolling resistance which in turn and increase range... Have you noticed any impacts to your range based upon your tire PSI rating?

Definitely agree it is not "automatic". I think of the whole system to be more of an advance driver assist system -- helps a LOT but def need babysitting and support.

Here is a difference between detecting a lane (solid blue line), and detecting a lane that can be changed into (dashed blue line). Autopilot is pretty good at detection a lane (solid blue line), it has to do even more work to detect a lane that can be changed into (dashed blue line) I believe...

I am with KatyF on this one. Even in Chill mode, autopilot does stuff that is definitely NOT "Chill" in Chill mode. If there was an even Chiller mode, I would be using that setting with autopilot...

I don't know the exact conditions but I too have noticed that the autopilot will only change lanes when it can detect a dashed line. Without the confirmation of a dashed line our autopilot will not change lanes.
