You’re correct from what I experienced. It has worked great overall since the change. Definitely faster loading all around. I will admit that since I got the upgrade, on two occasions I got the black screens and it required a reboot. Didn’t take it in, but just keeping an eye on it.

I can say that I’ve supercharged my car 95% of the time due to the free supercharging and for a 2016 90D 87k miles at 100% I have 242 (257 base). I charge it to 90% then drive home almost all of the time, so not quite 100%. I’ve been impressed by the main battery. Other issues, not so much lol

Quick update, repaired for ~$1200 (included $105 diagnosis). XCare paid over the phone (minus my $100 deductible) and reimbursed for a rental. Really easy in case anyone was wondering about an extended warranty. Crossing my fingers I’m good for a while.

Agreed. That would be great, i live in prosper and wouldn't mind one up this way. The one in Denton is too far west, especially with traffic. Something both north and central could service north Frisco, McKinney, Prosper and Celina.

Looks like xcelerate will have a price increase in their plans starting 1/1/2022. Are there other warranty companies that provide similar or more coverage than Xcelerate? From what was sent to me, their plans seem inclusive of most issues.

True there aren’t. I asked about break fluid and the squeaking breaks. They said it was fine. I assumed that they were the experts and would figure it out since it was a Tesla service center. I guess not. I’m not a mechanic so I offered to pay for whatever needed to be done.

My 2016 90D has 71k miles. I took into Tesla and new tried to pay for a service, asked them to service anything it needs. All I got were new wiper blades, service advisor said everything else was good. I had an alignment 6 mo ago and changed my HEPA filter a year ago.

I’ve read how bad Model X driver’s park at superchargers .. two in a row within a span of 3 minutes at the Tejon station in Cali. Lol can’t make this up. Not bashing model 3 drivers just saying poor drivers come in all shapes and sizes :)
