That's kind of my deal too...since the wife has a new Y, and my 3 does the trick. I "want" a Y as well, but it would be more fun if I could be patient and wait for some cool updates. At least get a little something different than what she has, haha (besides the performance vs her LR).

Correct, I love my wife's new Model Y, its an AWESOME truck. And, I do love my Model 3. But today I can get out of my Model 3 and upgrade to a Y for very little cash. Or, I keep enjoying my 3 and keep watching for some potential updates/changes. Good input here by all! Thank you!

Who would lease a Tesla today? That's literally throwing away money! 3's and Y's hold their value so well...even pre-covid.

Maybe the tires...but replacing with similar 18" wheels too? Most people at a glance will probably think those are stock anyway.

That seems silly to swap out for a similar 18" wheel. My advice is pull the caps off, get the $50 hub kit, and drive it for a while. You haven't even taken delivery yet...drive it for a bit.

Gotcha. So if a softer ride is the goal, then perhaps change from OEM size. But it sounds like no performance gains by going 245.

Yep, you bought the same car you already had but found enough value in the few changes for 2021...but you also realize it's the same car with a couple changes. Just like when I buy a new Samsung Note every year. They bring little incremental changes that I find value in so I buy new each year.

Brother...agreed...major difference between enjoying the updates and changes on each model year, and being a weirdo talking as if the 2021 is an actual redesign, or refreshed design of the model 3. They swapped a few new parts for 2021...cool...but it's the same car as the 2017 minus a few part...

No kidding right... Every 2021 person "Look at my brand new, never seen before, highly anticipated, fully redesigned all-new Model 3. Meanwhile...the car is 98% the same as a 2017 2018 2019 and 2020. Silly fools.

Not necessarily...I bet there's a ton of guys here who drive 5-10k miles/year, rip their cars on every drive, and love having performance tires vs stock.

Would you say they made the car feel more planted? My FEAR is a soft sidewall.

Ha..me as well! I'm also smart enough to see a couple of parts changed in a vehicle, vs "refreshed". People calling this is "refreshed 2021" are drowning in their own KoolAid.
