Since this is some sort of pass through adapter and uses an onboard CCS chip, seems like it is inevitable that there will be a 3rd party adapter for sell from somewhere like EVSE Adapters – Electric vehicle charging solutions, adapter cords for EV, RV, welders, and more. Charge anywhere.
It's really easy to get service right at first when you have a small fleet.
Didn't everyone gush over Tesla service until they started pushing out tons of model 3s?
Yeah a 14-50 adapter would be worthless for many customers, it doesn't make sense to include it IMO. The only issue is how the 14-50 is often out of stock, luckily I ordered one months ago.
My problem is that I still need to get the service installed at my house though.
lol my bad I totally misread your message, I still can't believe how fast they moved cars 2700 miles from Fremont to Charlotte. I saw them unload one on 6/18, that was built on 6/15.
If you are that close I think you will get it before end of quarter. I live on the East Coast and my Model Y was apparently built on 6/15 and I'm getting delivery tomorrow, just a little over 1 week from mfg date.
VIN Range is not indicative of build date, I saw two cars both built on 6/15/2020 and they had VIN 14XXX and 17XXX respectively, exact same specs (which is probably why they were built on the same day). They batch vehicles of similar build specs and build them together.
That's garbage, you can easily find your car by just checking the VIN through the window, I don't take delivery of my car until Tomorrow but already took a look at it on Saturday. I'm guessing the "activate it in your phone to reveal it" is part of the "touchless experience".
I have not taken delivery of mine yet but I found it in the lot at the SC And was able to check off these items.
1. Someone said theirs which was built on 6/14/20 had the additional insulation, mine was built after this so my fingers are crossed.
2. Nope, looks great!
3. Nope, perfect...
Yeah they only seem to be doing limited batches of white interior as far as I can tell. Black exterior use to be non existent, but it seems like they are pushing those out pretty good now.
How are you paying? Someone had a tip in one of the other threads that if you are using self sourced financing that you should send your loan pre-approval to [email protected] (I think) and that can accelerate your VIN assignment.
Went by the bank to square away financing today, 1.74% for a 72 month loan! Yes please. I was pumped so I went by the service center which was close by as well.
As I got there they had lots of cars, mostly White and Silver Model Ys. They were in the process of unloading and there was a Black...
I'm expecting 1.99% from my CU, I just started the process online, my normal person that I emailed is no longer there apparently. Financed my last 3 cars with the same person and always got the lowest rate they offer, which is 1.99% on their site right now.
That's good advice, I was certain that was why my VIN seemed to be taking forever, but then again I never did this and still finally got a VIN.
I was wondering if I should have put CASH in for payment option and sort of regretting that.
I have 14XXX as well, I wouldn't read much into it, I think they have been queuing cars up, and they are assigning them as they are loaded up, or even enroute.
