I thought the Cybertruck suspension was revolutionary

Weird as my brother in laws 2019 raptor supercrew don’t have air but gas the fox shocks front and rear.

    Decoding the Reservation Number

First one ordered night of release RN112825*** Second one ordered 5mins after RN112817*** note that second one has a lower number than the first one so it’s def not in the order they were received.

    Decoding the Reservation Number

I ordered 2 and my first one has a higher number than my first one ordered an hr before. I don’t think these numbers work out as people think they do.

Tri motor and single motor have swapped production times

How do you change your orders. I have a early 2wd and a early tri motor pre order but may just change them both to tri motor.

Anyone have problems reserving a Cybertruck (Payment declined)?

I ordered 2 and they bought did that. I tried a few other times and they both went through.

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

Let’s use my model f150 as example here. when equipped with the most powerful engine and 2wd it has a max of 11300lb tow capacity. If you add anything over that as an extra accessory the towing goes down. Add 4wd it goes down, add a larger cab it goes down add cooled seats it goes down. So...

    Snippiness 2.0

They are governed by the same hardware limitations of any other Truck. Did you even read the OP! They the point of this post. Seem like you just full of **** and have absolutely nothing to add because you haven’t a clue so just talk ****. You are doing it on almost every post that’s active. You...

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

That’s my line of thinking that it be only one brake and suspension setup between the models and more than likely the body’s will be sane spec too. So if my f150 is rated to tow 13k lbs with a rear wheel drive setup at 375hp then the 2WD cyber truck should be just capable.

    Snippiness 2.0

Well Mongo and many others on here managed to comprehend the question unlike yourself.
  10. B

    Snippiness 2.0

Well where’s the answer all knowing prat. It’s not about the differences in 4wd vs all wheel drive. Try to stay on track here. Here’s a tip. It’s something to do with payload.

    CyberTruck in 3D

Did you design this and if so do you have the STL as I wanna print one too
  12. B

    Snippiness 2.0

Holy crap prat you can’t keep that trap of yours shut can you.
  13. B

    Snippiness 2.0

So it’s not heavier? Explain all knowing prat
  14. B

What is the actual equivalent MPG?

That’s a good point about the increase when towing. I’m gonna end up way cheaper than the gas truck even at only half the rates miles.
  15. B

    Snippiness 2.0

4wd all wheel drive. Same difference. It’s the extra weight compared to 2wd. You knew what I was talking about. Perhaps get of ya high horse ya prat.
  16. B

What is the actual equivalent MPG?

actually it is simple as some have already answered the question. You are the one going complete off track. Perhaps engage brain and think before posting in the future. No offense.

Carrying 4'x8' sheet materials in the Cybertruck

I have moved thousands of 8’ and 10’ sheets in my 6.5 f150. Never had to strap it or secure it. Of course you can’t accelerate like a crazy man but this thing won’t have any issue moving sheet goods. It won’t over hang the tailgate on 8ft boards either.

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

Gonna be interesting to how these pan out spec wise but I bet we see the same small print On release though. I just can’t see how they getting around it as based on current weights it would be in the 3/4 ton 10k category in a half ton. If it has then great. The 2wd model already has more power...

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

Like I already said. If it really was to do with engine, suspension, brakes and frame then shouldn’t I have the biggest payload and towing capacity f150 on the market? The only way ford was able to increase the payload and towing on the new f150 was no go with alloy. They used the same...
  20. B

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

No it’s not. It’s based on your GVWR. Has nothing to do with engine power or braking ability. If that was the case my F150 would have the full 3500 lbs seeings as I have the most powerful engine and the trailer tow package with extra leaf springs and bigger brakes but I have 900lbs. That 900lbs...
  21. B

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

That’s what I’m not getting here with the payloads. The stock trucks have a high payload and towing no matter the engine size. What affects the payload and towing is the options on the truck. as an example you add the bigger engine you are negative so many lbs you add 4x4 you have even less...
  22. B

What is the actual equivalent MPG?

I’m not asking for exact numbers. Just an estimate. For an example if you say 30% less than a model S. That would probably be pretty close in comparison to ice engine trucks and cars.
  23. B

How does Tesla figure the payload and towing?

I’m curious about this as their numbers seem way off. on a standard truck your pay load and towing is based on your vehicles GVRW. As an example a low end truck can actually have a vastly higher payload and towing than a higher end higher power truck. I would assume that the body will be...

What is the actual equivalent MPG?

I have looked through the forum and a few posts hoping to find the estimate but all I’m finding is these complicated math equations they make zero sense to me. mid it possible for Simone to explain it simply like this it currently cost me $0.15 a mile to fuel my truck It cost $0.11 a kWh...

Will the Cybertruck Be able to tow a 5th Wheel?

Most people are not buying a 1/2 ton to tow a 5th wheel. Infact 99.9% of 1/2tons I see driving about don’t tow a ball hitch trailer let alone a 5th wheel. Anything sized to be towed with a 5th should be behind at least a 3/4ton. If buying group continues as it does with trucks 90% will not use...

Cybertruck bed is slotted - a boon for DIYers

I think they are confusing the fold down rear center seat console with some kind of pass through.
  27. B

Who added FSD with their order?

Shouldn’t make any difference. A customer service rep at Tesla told me your $100 basically holds you a slot and based your on final config that pre order gives you a allocation of a unit. So basically you can add or remove any of the options you have or have not picked and once you do that and...

cybertruck is going to fail ? I doubt it

based on that many pre orders it def ain’t gonna fail. That’s not even considering the features that make it better than any truck available for 90% of people who use trucks. I see someone earlier say it won’t sell very well at all because it don’t have a winch. Since when does a winch have...

What are you using your cyber truck for?

Based on what some people are buying one for it’s def going to eat into the suv and car sales
  30. B

What are you using your cyber truck for?

So basically everything. I am curious of the rack options though. I see the utility track is the airline type which is very high quality so hopefully there’s something cool with the track.

    Cybertruck and superchargers

Here it won’t be an issue as all the people I see charging are always patched across multiple lanes but the places are always empty so not an issue.
  32. B

This truck design had better be a joke....

Lol seems many were wrong on here. That’s a crazy amount of pre orders. I ordered 2. It’s like women. Some people have girlfriends or wives I find ugly but they find them attractive. Wouldn’t it be boring if everything looked the same. Kind of like how the Tesla cars look.
  33. B

What are you using your cyber truck for?

So what’s you reason for buying. construction and towing For me the main thing was toughness, strength. Power will be awesome for merging on ramps and mountain roads with our tool trailer. The strength of the body and windows will be great for the work site with idiots who can’t load stuff...

    Cybrtrk RN #

I spoke with customer service as I didn’t get the loading page for reference number on second one and the guy said ignore the numbers as when you get your chance to build the vehicle you can adjust it to what ever model you want. As an example if you ordered a 2wd but wanted a 4wd you will still...

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

I have just spent the last hour reading comments on Facebook and I’m convinced there’s something going on in the US that’s making people extremely dumb. some examples of what I have read today about the cyber truck. Whats the point of rear seats if there’s no back doors. (Yes there’s back...

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

7K is more than doable with a half ton. But those plow guys probably having to load up a couple K lbs in salt to get the weight they need for traction. But 1/2ton frames are massively different to 3/4+ tons and the front suspension alone is not upto it either. plows destroy trucks. Have you...
  37. B

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

there’s a reason you don’t see half tons plowing. For one the frames ain’t strong enough and they don’t have the weight required for grip or momentum. I tow a 7.5k trailer very often and I can tell you know anything over that in the 5k dual axle range loaded is not something you want to be...

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

This is the whole deal of people who think they know what they are doing who ain’t got the first clue. The only times I see plywood loaded from the side is from 18 wheelers or panel vans. Rarely even done on low bed trailers because the wheel arches get in the way. My suppliers won’t load them...

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

Now don’t quote me but I think they are actually AC is conversion wise the limiting factor in any output from the battery would be cable size. But at a absolute minumum I expect them to at least add a 20amp 120v or 15amp 220v circuit. Now if it’s true what I hear about being able to charge other...
  40. B

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

You are correct. I’m the only person I know who has a half ton who tows a trailer. Most people I know with half tons just use them to load a few small bits and pieces like a bag of grass seed or a wheel barrow full of logs and they suddenly thick they are pushing the truck to its limits. A Prius...

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

I’m curious why are you using a 5th wheel on a 1/2 ton. Everyone I know using a 5th for horses uses a 3/4 at an absolute minimum. I have never seen a 5th wheel on a 1/2 ton. A 2-5/16” ball is good for upto 30k lbs so way beyond what a 1/2 ton can handle.
  42. B

My two biggest problems with the cybertruck

See this is the issue. We already got people who haven’t got the first clue about how contractors in trucks work giving opinions.

    Who has ordered?

Just joined to see how many others ordered. The reservation numbers don’t seem to make sense as the first one I ordered which was a 2wd was a higher number than the 4wd I ordered about 30mins later. But anyway I have never been a fan of the styling of the Tesla vehicles but loved the tech...
