I believe mine was also build after the shutdown based off the last 6 of the VIN Not sure what's better, right before or right after the shutdown...guess we'll see :)

I just called DC to see if there was an update on my order, was told no VIN and no update. I'm 6.5 weeks into my 7-9 week estimate, we'll see if they "under promised and over deliver" my order :)

Ordered mine 1/25 black/black. My wife told me to order the red, I can hear her now " I told you so, you'd have your car sooner if you listened to me". I'm obviously not going to tell her you're getting yours in a couple days :). Post photos!!

Correct, I ordered Black/Black on 1/25 and have only received a single text message back on 2/24

I'm planning to "chrome delete" it, plus I'm going to either power coat the wheels glossy black or purchase new glossy black wheels...those are my plans when I first get it, I might get lowering springs in the near future. I'll be sure to post photos when I make these changes.

That is great news! It could be that someone backed out of their purchase so they reassigned the car to you? According to the posted on this forum most people find the VIN before the car is shipped.

I also ordered Black / Black on 1/25, I feel the same as you, it seems there is zero movement with Black / Black. I'm sure they use some sort of logic when building batches of cars, color must be one of the variables. I have heard this, the M3P engines are selected by being the best...

Do you consider Friday or Sunday the end of the week, I need to be ready for the riot :)

Sorry to hear that :( I'm in the same boat as you, we ordered very close to the same time (I ordered 1/25). I have heard nothing besides the infamous 2/24 text that most others received. I did attend the new Tesla owners workshop in Las Vegas a couple Fridays ago...I might go to the workshop...

Your order is exactly the same as mine, same order date & config. Like you the only information/update I have received was the mass text most of us received 2/24. I'll update this tread with any progress!

Hahah, I would do the same thing but maybe step it up a level and bring a tent then give my SA the option to deliver it right now or let me sleep in the parking lot until they are ready to give me my car :)

Correct, I was not too worried about the slight credit hit but my SA told me it was highly unlikely I would see the car in 60 days so marking the order as "paying cash" was the best. I also was on the fence about paying cash so I did not want an unnecessary credit pull if I chose cash :)

My SA told me to select "Cash" the day I placed the order (1/15/2020), he then told me to apply for credit end of Feb which I did and was approved. My order is as complete as can be. It does feel the "order" of delivery is based off geography and not completeness of information entered into...

I have been in contact, I went to the Tesla showroom Friday and was told their best guess is I should see the car in March. They told me they honestly have no clue what logic is used but that they typically get them towards the end of the quarter.

Figured I'd chime in, ordered a M3P 1/15/2020 and just received the 4-6 week text today. Financing and all other questions on Tesla order have been completed. I live in Southern NV This is also the first text I've received.
