Supercharger in Munster is up and running!

So I stopped by yesterday, everything looks to be ready to go. I plugged in, no joy. Not really sure what else needs to be done here. I may reach out to the town and see if they'll answer.

I live in the area, it wasn't open as of Tuesday of this week. I will check this weekend or Monday and if I remember, will report back. The construction has been done for a while, so I don't know if it's held up with the town and final signoff? Final permit items? No clue.

Ok, so that is easy enough. Any idea why each need a breaker in the sub panel, when there's a breaker back at the main? I was under the impression these Gen3s manage the power share and wouldn't take more than the main feed is rated at?

The other issue I'm running into is that most everything is following the new console design. I got my Model Y early, so finding something that works with the old console design is tough.

So I have a 2020 Model Y and my current console setup relies on the 12V in the center console. Does an option exist to get it wired into the footwell lights so it’s auto on/off. I rarely use what I have because it’s just annoying to have to turn them on/off all the time.

Do you know if they had to push any sort of a flag/update on the system side to enable it? Or does the latest software release detect newly added speakers?

You need a set of winter rims/tires. Get a set of 19", better ride and easier on the wallet.

I was able to email my service center and order the speaker, without issue this morning.

It's just odd for them to say that, even though I got a similar message. If the wire harness is there, it's just software and a flag in your configuration, I would think?

Interestingly, I emailed my Service Center, and asked them to order the part numbers. 15 minutes later, I had an invoice to approve for them to order.

Can the speaker be ordered somehow online or do you need to talk to the service center?

Haha But I also adjusted the max speed of autopilot (by 1 mph) with the right scroll wheel, which removed the nag in the past (at least that's how it worked before). But it kept nagging. And even more firm tugs and input to the steering didn't help.

2020.40 is fairly new and you're on what I would call the current release. Do you have FSD? .40 adds some FSD-related things. According to STATS, only 3.8% of Model Y users have 2020.40 and about 57% are on either 36.11 or 36.12. I wouldn't worry about it.

There's also a balance with tire wear. I don't expect my tires to last long anyway, but taking out some pressure will likely accelerate tire wear.

I rarely use it and deactivated it recently. How much impact on the battery does SS have? I know Sentry Mode is a big hitter, what about SS?

I have a Thule box also. I have to imagine the range reduction would be significant, coupled with colder temps. The middle seat does allow for a rear passthru, could that be an option? My problem is my wife loves to bring the whole house with, so having a carrier up top helps.

Saw it was out there but in small numbers. Maybe a bigger push to the fleet.
