    Supercharger - Munster, IN

So I stopped by yesterday, everything looks to be ready to go. I plugged in, no joy. Not really sure what else needs to be done here. I may reach out to the town and see if they'll answer.

    Supercharger - Munster, IN

I live in the area, it wasn't open as of Tuesday of this week. I will check this weekend or Monday and if I remember, will report back. The construction has been done for a while, so I don't know if it's held up with the town and final signoff? Final permit items? No clue.

    Gen 3 Power Sharing?

Ok, so that is easy enough. Any idea why each need a breaker in the sub panel, when there's a breaker back at the main? I was under the impression these Gen3s manage the power share and wouldn't take more than the main feed is rated at?

    Gen 3 Power Sharing?

So, I have one Gen 3 charger, wired up to 60A in my garage; 48A max. Leaning heavily to adding another Tesla and ideally have a second charger in the garage. I've read through the gen 3 instructions, I know there are settings via wifi for power sharing, but has anyone set this up successfully...

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

So I'm trying to sift through the posts to determine the best route here. The Pirellis that came with my MYP are nearly nuked after 12K miles. I'll probably get 15K before they're toast. I do have a winter setup, but looking to get a bit more mileage out of a replacement tire, so leaning...

Tire Alternatives for Model Y Performance?

The original tires that came with my MYP are going to be toast in the spring/summer. I have a dedicated 19" winter rim/tire setup. What are most doing when they need to replace the OEM 21s? Staying with the same tire and sizes? Going to an all season? Beefing up on the sidewall a bit? I...

Model 3 DIY Light kits: Review and installation tips, with pics

The other issue I'm running into is that most everything is following the new console design. I got my Model Y early, so finding something that works with the old console design is tough.

Model 3 DIY Light kits: Review and installation tips, with pics

Interesting perspectives. You see all over YouTube where people are taping into various things w/o issue. It just seems to make sense to tap into the footwell as a source and only come on when those come on. Also, the kit I have now isn’t the best, I think I have the Basenor kit. Appreciate...

Model 3 DIY Light kits: Review and installation tips, with pics

So I have a 2020 Model Y and my current console setup relies on the 12V in the center console. Does an option exist to get it wired into the footwell lights so it’s auto on/off. I rarely use what I have because it’s just annoying to have to turn them on/off all the time.

why I (we) didn't get the Boombox in the last software updates?

Do you know if they had to push any sort of a flag/update on the system side to enable it? Or does the latest software release detect newly added speakers?

    Upgraded Interior lighting M3... Thoughts?

If you figure this out, I'd love to know how. I like the look on the center console, but having to unplug is well... Not great.

Model Y Performance In The Snow

You need a set of winter rims/tires. Get a set of 19", better ride and easier on the wallet.

$55.55 for both the speaker and three screws.

I was able to email my service center and order the speaker, without issue this morning.

Model Y PWS install and Boombox, info from Tesla Service Center

It's just odd for them to say that, even though I got a similar message. If the wire harness is there, it's just software and a flag in your configuration, I would think?

Holiday update - no boombox for me :(

Interestingly, I emailed my Service Center, and asked them to order the part numbers. 15 minutes later, I had an invoice to approve for them to order.

Holiday update - no boombox for me :(

So I had a scheduled mobile service visit to address my rear seat switches that weren't functioning and folding the seats. I asked the tech about the speaker and he said that he is unable to order them nor install them. Also he mentioned about using "another speaker" and a firmware update vs...

    Don't need PPF? Think again.

Did you see my pic that started this thread? Only 2K miles and it was already looking like dog doo doo. Take a flashlight to the area just in front of the rear wheel, on the passenger door.

    Don't need PPF? Think again.

Not very noticeable for me. They did a nice job.

    TSportline Wheel Packages and TPMS?

Troubles with Raspberry Pi for Tesla cam and musci

So when you say troubles with WiFi, what exactly is going on? I struggled for a few hours getting mine working. Turns out, I had to unhide my SSID. Once it was made visible, the script ran and I haven't had to do anything since. The SSD size should not matter. You really only need 16/32GB...

    Don't need PPF? Think again.

While I'm still not sold on a full wrap of the car, the rocker before the rear wheels are already peppered. This is 2,000 miles, only. I plan on getting this area protected before the snow and salt arrive. Alternative is to look for mud guards, but not a lot of options out there. Getting...

274 miles of range at 100%

So I just got 2020.40.8 on my performance model Y and while I never look at miles, I switched over to see what my total is after the update. It’s only 274 miles. I know this is a guesstimate, but what steps do you take to get his to be more accurate? I always charge to just 80% and usually...

    2020.40.x

Haha But I also adjusted the max speed of autopilot (by 1 mph) with the right scroll wheel, which removed the nag in the past (at least that's how it worked before). But it kept nagging. And even more firm tugs and input to the steering didn't help.
  42. S

    2020.40.x

Noticed an odd bug this morning with 2020.40. Was sitting in some in-town construction that moves about 10-15 miles per hour (at most) as traffic funnels down to one lane. It's very slow and stop and go. So lazy me, I activated autopilot. When the first timeframe was up and I got the...

    Model Y Firmware Poll

2020.40 is fairly new and you're on what I would call the current release. Do you have FSD? .40 adds some FSD-related things. According to STATS, only 3.8% of Model Y users have 2020.40 and about 57% are on either 36.11 or 36.12. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Elon's Tweet on Tire Pressure

There's also a balance with tire wear. I don't expect my tires to last long anyway, but taking out some pressure will likely accelerate tire wear.

Those with FSD - Do you leave Smart Summon on?

I rarely use it and deactivated it recently. How much impact on the battery does SS have? I know Sentry Mode is a big hitter, what about SS?

    What’s your solution for skiing?

I have a Thule box also. I have to imagine the range reduction would be significant, coupled with colder temps. The middle seat does allow for a rear passthru, could that be an option? My problem is my wife loves to bring the whole house with, so having a carrier up top helps.

    2020.36 just landed

Saw it was out there but in small numbers. Maybe a bigger push to the fleet.
