Vibrations from the rear? Around 30-50mph

Very frustrating indeed. I went on this journey too. Tesla in PA area do not a high speed balancer. I went through 3 sets of tires. Everyone said it was the tires needing wheel alignment and Balancing. Finally, my local Lexus dealer was able to fix the issues. 2 rims were slightly bent...

    A/C Warranty?

Sorry if this was asked previously. But I could not find the answers. A/C is not blowing cold air. I can't use the supercharger, because the a/c is not working. Is this covered under used car warranty. Tesla services can't find the cause yet, and can't tell if it's covered... saying that I...

    Front Vibration

Might sound stupid, but try to turn off your changing lane assist or alert in the auto-pilot menu; test drive again to see if the vibration is gone.

    Widest Tires on 22" Turbines

Comfort and ride quality for 22", you need a touring tires. Performance is sporty - you will feel every bumps on the road. The only 22" touring that I found and tested are the Kumho Crugen HP71.

Model X wheel options lower than 20"

19" for me. The ride quality for my P90D. The bump on the 22" wheels are unbearable. Can't say much about the range, because I don't drive long distance that much. Rear 255/55R19 Michelin Premier LTX Front 245/55R19 Michelin Premier LTX

Delivery checklist - how long did you spend and was the delivery specialist waiting?

Yeah, the consultant or delivery person would leave the key in the car... and tell you to go ahead and inspect it. Call him/her when you are done.

Delivery checklist - how long did you spend and was the delivery specialist waiting?

Because of Covid, in PA or NJ, the specialist or anyone are not waiting for you or anyone. You can take as long as you want. When you are done, you call them.

    Raven wind noise?

Could you please take a picture of this? I have some wind noise. Can't really go above 70 mph because it is really loud. I can schedule it service to repair it. Thanks!

    Tire selection for Model X

You are absolutely correct on the tread life. I think the shelf life had something to with them. I had both good and bad experiences. Same exact Michelin tires from Costco, one lasted 3 years another 5 years. Not to say something bad about Costco. I bought the Bridgestone there, and they...

    Tire selection for Model X

My model: P90D You can try Michelin Premier LTX. 245/50/r20 255/50/r20 I went on an extreme and bought the 19" rims for quiet and comfort. Michelin Premier LTX 245/55/r19 255/55/r19

    Model X Seats

Coming from a Lexus SUV, the X seats were uncomfortable at first. The ride was very stiff. My Daughter refused to ride in the car with me. After switching the rims to 19" and riding them for 2 weeks, we got use to them.

    Buying used Model X

At least in my area, Tesla don't inspect. You would need to open a service appointment on your app. If you are not the owner, then you can't.

Buy repaired Model-X (falcon wing door issue) lemon law buyback?

If the dealer is Tesla and not some other 3rd party dealership, i would buy it. My falcon doors are always a problem... occasionally not opening or closing on both side...left wing wouldn't close and right wing wouldn't open. For now, I gave up going to the service center, because they...

    Service Center Care

The below is what I received via text. I am not guaranteed a loaner. I sent an email to the service lady that I have been dealing with. I told her that I would push the appointment out for another 4 weeks in order to get a loaner. My list of issues: Windshield vipers dont work sometime...

    Another rejected model Y

Some people are just happy to get the car.. like me. If they live less than 30 miles from the SC. Taking the UBer voucher is not a problem for them. If some people are 30+ miles away from the SC, then it's hard to accept the car. Most of the time SC would not fix all 12 issues, because they...

Tesla Model X vs Lexus 450h

The hybrid is quieter and smoother. Good choice! Almost like a full EV, you don't hear the engine, not that the regular RX is loud or anything. Keep your LS if you can afford it. Like some people, the first couple months of owning a Tesla is mostly visiting the service center. The build...

Killing the brand with poor service

I need to replace a door sensor on my X, because they didnt have it in stock from my previous service. The middle Screen likes to reboot by itself. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago and requested a loaner, but they can't get one. You are lucky that you got the loaner. They recently changed...

Best Suspension replacement for the MY?

I would love to see the feedback for this quality coilovers for better control over bumps. Cant even sit in the back seat, because it so bumpy.

Where should I get a new tire?

Yes, it is pretty quiet. I had them on my 19" wheels. The comfort is not as good as the Michelin Premier LTX. You can really feel bigger bumps, and Michelin do a better job to absorb and smooth out the bumps. However, they say the Michelin don't last long.

What size tires for 22 inch rims?

Agreed with P85_DA, you can't go above 35 profiles. For the 22" tires, the most comfortable ride are the touring tires not performance. The only touring tires that I found are the Kumhos. I am happy with them. I had the Pirelli Scorpio Zero A S plus previously, and they were stiff and...

Efficient Tire/Wheel Comobo for road trips

I do swap back and forth between the 19 and 22s. With the 22s on my P90D, I can't even get 160 miles. With the 19s, i get about 210 miles. Driving both around 70 mph on a highway. My local Mavis Tires swap them for free if you ask them for a tire rotation service. I usually tip them $25...

    X or S?

I bought it for the door and performance. If you are buying it for the falcon door, don't buy it. Please put your 3 kids and wife in the car to test drive it. The ride is stiffer, because the car is very heavy. I am in the northeast, the road is a bit bumpy. The family road trip was not a...

Tires are Already Bald After 14523 Miles in Less Than 2 Years and? Is this Normal?

How does it ride comparing to your old Continental? Smooth and quiet? I have the oem 22", and the scorpion zero are too stiff. Thinking of switching them out for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV.

    265/55-19 and model x

Mr Ed! Thanks! Had to do some research and math. :; I was worry about the load. The max load that I would carry or pull is always going to be less than 7000 lbs. The 245/55/19 is good for me.
  28. N

    265/55-19 and model x

    I guess that the 245/55/19 won't fit my 19" rims, because they are standard X 19" x 8.5" :(
  29. N

    265/55-19 and model x

Which rims did you use for the 245/55/19? From Tesla or a 3rd party? I am very interested. I bought the 19" rims from tire rack ... wx9. I have the P90D.

Why is Tesla not using used cars as loaners?

Yeah, I wish that Tesla service is half as good as my local Lexus service. Free snacks and lounge area if you decided to wait for your service instead of getting a loaner. Also free car wash and free vacuum in the front seats.

Why is Tesla not using used cars as loaners?

Same with Lexus, they would give you the same make and model of your car as a loaner or something better. Most of the time, it's something better with all options. I was disappointed when I got my Tesla loaner, but it was better than not having a loaner. Not the same make and model, but a...

    Upgrading to "Adaptive" Suspension

Willing to pay for the extra hardware!! The ride is not comfortable on the 2016 for the 3rd seats. My Daughter refused to go into my car. She prefers my wife's Lexus 450. Hopefully soon, it will be available.
