Well yall I FINALLY took delivery on August 8th in Plano. Was ready for pickup on August 4th but during the final inspection Tesla noted two minor paint imperfections. Went and took and look and decided to have them fix it then instead of later. Other wise the vehicle was in perfect condition...

Car is has been in Little Rock, AR for two days waiting for a truck. They're still estimating Aug 2nd which is my delivery date, possible August 1st. Heres to hoping a truck gets assigned soon!

I went to University Federal Credit Union. 1.95% for 60 months. They have a relationship with Tesla so I just had to email the signed MVPA and they funded Tesla within the hour.

Placed a second order on 07/15/2020 with the exact same configuration as my first order I placed 02/10/2020 minus the tow hitch. Got VIN assigned for BOTH on 07/18/2020. Cancelled the one without the hitch, estimated delivery August 1st.VIN 32xxx. Delivery advisor states it cant leave California...

Tesla cannot direct sell to customers in Texas. So it has to be delivered to a neighboring state first (Apparently Alabama) until the car is fully funded. It is then put on a carrier to Texas after funding and paperwork is complete.

I did change my wheels to the 19" Geminis when the price dropped happened to bring my total down by $5k. Seems to be the White Interior + Tow hitch that is just now being produced. I haven't secured financing yet. I was waiting to apply until I received a VIN. I put my profile as "Cash".

I placed the first order 02/10/2020. Both configurations received a VIN the same day (07/18/2020). I am taking the one with the tow hitch and cancelling the one without it. Just lost $100 for the order fee but I knew that placing the order I wouldn't get it back. I have been waiting 23 weeks...

My thoughts exactly. Tesla reps have told me that for the Y they are not doing that this quarter because of the backlog of preorders still not fulfilled. Had the factory not been shut down and pre-orders for US customers filled, they would prioritize international first. Canada is only getting...

Still waiting on a VIN. A guy with my same configuration, minus the tow hitch received his VIN today near me. My guess is now the tow hitch is holding it up.

I am seeing a bunch of Black/Black being assigned today. So probably wasn't a coincidence. I ordered MSM back in February of this year and still no VIN.

Very familiar and not unheard of. But hey! At least you know its on its way to you.. Im getting very impatient waiting for a VIN. Plano delivery here.

Sounds like you are the victim of your VIN being reassigned to someone else that could make its way into someones hands before the end of Q2.

Routine steps. I was able to apply for the loan and do all the steps you mentioned above back in March of this year, but its already expired. I called my local store and they said wait to reapply when I get the text updates from Tesla in Fremont. So I haven't reapplied for the loan yet.

Just curious why you did your loan so early? I ordered in 02/2020 and still haven't received a VIN. Hopefully they can deliver before your loan expires and have to run your credit again.

Alright Q2 is almost over and I am anxiously awaiting Tesla to communicate with me about when I might receive a car. I haven't received any texts yet. Any guesses on when we might see the next text blast?

I think Tesla updated their delivery timeline (For new orders) on May 29th for 4-8 week deliveries. So in theory, all preorders and orders placed before that date should be fulfilled by July 25th.

Thanks for this thread. I didnt order in 2019 but did order in 02/2020. MSM with white interior. Seems to be a recurring feature that hasnt been delivered yet.

Well this is good news for me I guess. I REALLY hope I dont have to wait till August or September. As a travel nurse I am in a different location every 8-12 weeks and it makes it tough having to go home and take delivery already as it is.

Really jealous you took delivery just 17 days after ordering... I am in Denton and coming up on almost 5 months since I ordered. Glad to hear that delivery was smooth and no issues with the car. Gives me some hope that mine wont have too many imperfections. I ordered the MSM and 20's too.

Seems to be the White Interior for people not on the West Coast. We've got two more days till the EOQ so it will be interesting to see what Tesla decides to do for the rest of us who have still not taken delivery.

Yeah, its really frustrating seeing these people order theirs and get it in less than a week. It wouldn't be so hard if I didn't need a vehicle but I do actually need a vehicle and this waiting game is literally ruining how my life operates. So mine said Prepare for Delivery back in February when I ordered. It also listed the service center where I would be taking delivery (Plano). I noticed two weeks ago it no longer says Prepare for Delivery and the service center is not listed anymore. So who knows. But for at least 3 months mine...

I think this has changed due to the "touchless" deliveries but who knows. If you're not speaking with anyone or seeing a human being, theres no way of identifying whos who and you return the paperwork by mail or however they want you to do it.

I asked my delivery advisor about that because a random Tesla employee informed me that if I dont get my car by the end of the quarter, that I should expect it in August or September due to Tesla focusing on other countries in the beginning of a new quarter. I feel the same way. But honestly thinking about this car and getting to enjoy it takes my mind of the rest of things going on in the world. Reading through and seeing everything keeps me occupied.
