I have a VIN! It just showed up in my Tesla account (I checked about 6 hours ago and it was still a Res. #, so this is a pretty recent development). No word from ISA yet (but we've been in contact). VIN 12,6xx.

He indicated that they have a batch of Midnight Silvers (my color configuration) that are becoming available this week to match up to customer orders. Hopefully I'm in that batch and have good news by tomorrow. What color did you order? Have they given you a delivery date yet?

Akikiki is spot on with this. I think one of the biggest challenges to the world's transition to an EV/Solar energy economy is going to be properly matching charging speeds with the actual need of the drivers, depending on where they are parked. Putting Superchargers at malls, movie theaters...

Can I ask why you went with Protint rather than Juns when you got your 2nd Tesla tinted? I've heard that some films have a bluish or bronze cast to them. What have you guys experienced? With our black car, we're looking for something that's more of a smoke/charcoal look without a color cast...

I just picked up a pre-owned 60 kWh car with ~11k miles and had the service center give it a once over for a couple little things. They measured all 4 tires at 6/32". The original owner had it in for its annual service @ 9k miles and had the tires rotated then. OEM Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 on...

I had a loaner Model X P90DL last week and it didn't have any trouble getting up to high double digits in a hurry. The driver profile showed "DEMO", but it didn't appear to be limited in acceleration or top speed.

I didn't think there was such a thing as a Model X 90...pretty sure they only come with Dual motor, which makes them 90D. edit...Model X tracker now shows that there are some 75D with VIN assignments now, so things do seem to be moving along...

I'd suspect that it probably started out as a 40 kWh car and they unlocked the battery and the supercharging capability. Because it was a 40, they probably offered the owners mid-high $30k for them on trade-in. It doesn't cost them any labor or materials to unlock them; so it's a no brainer...
