    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Just mounted these as dedicated winter wheels on my M3P. "18 TS5s from Tsportline with Pirelli Sottozeros. I think they look great and the ride is pretty quiet.

    From ‘20 M3 to ‘22 M3P: 1st impressions

Got it. Are there aftermarket setups that have similar ride quality and better cornering? Or is it a trade off given the weight of these cars?

    From ‘20 M3 to ‘22 M3P: 1st impressions

Just took delivery on a ‘22 M3P after turning in my ‘20 M3 LR lease early (out of miles). I was worried it wouldn’t feel like much of an upgrade but it does! First impressions: - No glaring build quality issues. If anything, it’s better than the previous car which had some annoying panel gaps...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Yeh, I was wondering that too. It had a February build date and 9 miles on the odometer. Car seems good so far. Haven’t noticed any build issues and I’m pretty OCD about that stuff.

Why Autopilot Safety Claims are BS

Where are you getting those numbers? 60mph is 88fps. If an average driver can decelerate at 20fpsps, 88/20 = 4.4 seconds. Teslas are capable of stopping even faster.

Why Autopilot Safety Claims are BS

Why would that be AP's fault then, if you disengaged? How did AP cause the crash?

Why Autopilot Safety Claims are BS

5 seconds is an eternity in a crash situation. anything that happens after that is on you.

CR Engineers Show a Tesla Will Drive With No One in the Driver's Seat

there's only one safety on a gun. and these vehicles are trying to save people. Tesla claims they're near 10x lower accident rate with autopilot. That's a decrease that *no other automotive innovation* has accomplished.

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

Check out the truck's blind spot mirror. It's bent inward. And I think the lower, convex side mirror is broken. I don't think he could see a damn thing. Which makes it all the more amazing that he was driving like this.

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

Thank you. Agree it’s a terrible stretch of road. And I don’t think semis are / should be allowed In the left lane. This particular truck seemed to be engaged in something with the FedEx truck in lead. Road rage? I was overtaking the truck, I thought, at a reasonable clip. Not so much.

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

Maybe. But if I had been in full control, I don't think I could have been on the brake fast enough, and I really don't think I could have escaped the tunnel cleanly without bouncing off either the concrete divider, the truck, or both. Also, data point: I've been driving for 26 years and have...

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

I was getting trolled by some people who claimed to be relatives of the (now out of work) truck driver. Here's a new link to the video:

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

I drive AP at full attention to the road. And should have been more wary of this truck, for sure.To your point, I don't think we would have made it out by punching it once the truck started to move over. When the truck began to encroach my foot moved to the brake, which already engaged fully...

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

All hindsight 2020. Yes, I probably should have avoided this truck. Still, no excuse for his driving.

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

Yes, better to be a defensive driver, and this is a shortcoming of current technology - predicting an outcome. I usually don't linger next to anybody (esp semis), if I can help it. But where reflexes are the only way out, Autopilot has us beat by a long shot.

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

Yes, you are correct. This is autopilot. I was laying on the horn the entire time. Windows didn't roll down. I don't think this happens unless you actually hit something?

FSD saved us from being crushed by a semi

First post and first near death experience in our Model 3 (purchased in March), and I’m seriously impressed by the way Autopilot (and some luck?) helped us escape a very bad situation. I made a little video from the dashcam footage. You can see it here: The car was in navigate on Autopilot...
