i still don’t understand the need for CarPlay/AA for Teslas. While I love those systems, I always thought of them as good alternatives to crappy infotainment systems. Tesla infotainment is incredible (IMO) and feature-rich. what would CarPlay/AA bring to the table?

The only phantom brake that I've experienced in the 800 miles of driving I've done with ours so far was under an overpass near our house at low speed, fortunately. I think Tesla's system phantom brakes because it heavily leans on cameras instead of sensors like most other TACC's do
