Finally got my install is ready for scheduling message after I called ComEd to ask about status. They said it was approved 2 days ago and I texted my advisor and got the scheduling message right after..smh. Next date is all the way out on 11/27 though for me.

I think it's because we have net metering here. The utility company has to approve a solar install and also only allows you to have a system 110% of your last 12mos usage.

Also in IL and got the installation coming soon update. My advisor says we're just waiting on utility conditional approval. Permits came back already. Hoping ComEd doesn't delay this.

I ordered the 8kW system and the first layout they provided they had already determined my max allowed by ComEd and sized me down to 6kW. Also with me being home since March and not charging my car much, energy usage dropped a bit year over year. I tried making a case for a bigger system but...
