    All USB Ports Stopped Working

After a week of use, all of the USB ports on my wife's Model X have ceased to function. Any idea as to which fuse and where to replace to get them working again? Thanks!

Actually, that works only if you've got both cars on the same account. I have 2 separate accounts under 2 different e-mails, don't see any way to do that through VT... My thought was to just run a copy and renamed version, but with different preferences directory... Thanks!

Question about Multiple Tesla: A while back, you could specify which directory the application stored data in. Can that still be done? I would like to be able to schedule both my S and my wife's X from my home PC. Thanks in advance!

Another Model X crash, driver says autopilot was engaged

So because a few people have either exhibited poor decision making or have not thoroughly in-serviced themselves, we should not have the tech? I've probably got a couple of thousand miles of AP under my belt. It's not always perfect, but I'm there to monitor and take over. My hands might not be...

    Gear Play

Ok, Met at the local service center with a tech and did a drive along. I have been told: The clicking is usually caused by corrosion buildup, and a loosening of the connection to the drive unit. A washer is replaced and then everything is torqued down to spec and that is the fix. I was told...

    Gear Play

As an update, tonight I made a quick run out to pickup some dinner, maybe a 2 mile trip each way, and I transitioned from forward to coasting, to regen a bit more aggressively than usual, but not jackrabbit starts... The spline noise was more pronounced, and towards the end of my trip was...

    Gear Play

My P85 just started making a slight click / clunk (not really as much of a clunk, very subtle, I can only notice with the windows down and A/C off). I remember on my 60, we had the spline issue where they replaced the drive unit, but I remember reading that it's a design flaw and the fix isn't...

I will be one of the lucky ones to have 2 tesla come August with the Arrival of my wife's X. I have created a second instance of VT, however I can't seem to find where to specify an alternate location for data files. Is there no longer a way to do that? I'd love to have her car on a schedule...

    EZ Pass (with pics)

Thank you so much for your post. I, too, had been having a devil of a time, and on my last trip with passengers, was teased about having to hold the EZ-Pass out the sunroof to get it to read. I'll try this install. I had thought to do that, but was going to mount to the inside of the nosecone...

    Dual chargers

As an owner on my second MS, and now with Dual Chargers, I thought it was a waste, until I was forced due to some electrical issues at the house, to install the HPWC. Now my car charges on a normal day in 1-1.5 hours rather than the 3-4 I was seeing. If you have irregular driving needs, it...

    7.1 and no Summon?

Okay, as an final update: I had the car at the service center and they ran updates on the car. Now has DRL option and Summon is now enabled. Thanks to all for the pointers and advice!

    7.1 and no Summon?

Ding, ding, ding!!! I e-mailed support and they think somehow my car is in Canada.. I assured them it isn't, never has been, but I think it's slightly more complicated than that. 7.1 and no Summon?

So, as I've learned reading various posts here... I have a unicorn. A 2014 P85 with Autopilot, but... I got the 7.1 update and have the new homeland features, but no Summon. Is there a setting I need to enable, or is there something wrong? Thanks for your help.

Disappointed with range estimate in first long term drive

I think you've just discovered one of the issues with batteries in the cold. I have had a 60 and now a P85, and cold weather (and it seems anything below 60 or 70 degrees is considered cold) really has an adverse effect on range. I have seen as much as a 6:1 range loss when doing around-town...

UMC Won't Charge at 240, but will on 110

I called back when I installed in 2013, and LIPA (now PSEG) didn't offer. I have also since installed Solar, so I had to give up balanced billing... Maybe I could do that now. Probably would make sense to just have the HPWC start at midnight and charger for an hour or 2 vs. the UMC taking 3.5-5...

UMC Won't Charge at 240, but will on 110

Okay, So today, the electrician ran new wire for the 50 AMP circuit to the 220 NEMA 15-40. Also, I had purchased the High-Power Wall Charger. Today the car charged every possible way... It was slowly charged overnight on a 110/12 at 3 MPH (awesome... not!) Then I charged at a supercharger...

UMC Won't Charge at 240, but will on 110

Yeah, thought did cross my mind. Electrician said that maybe there's an intermittent problem with the neutral from the pole... Our power here on Long Island is pretty crappy from what I hear, and there are times there isn't a good neutral, but you don't really notice, until you have something...

Okay, the saga continues... Got home around 5, electrician had outlet apart and tightened all ground, the conduit which acts as ground and had the sub box apart, obviously in the middle of checking the GFCI breaker... He tightened and checked, re-checked everything. Plugged the car in, BOOM...

UMC Won't Charge at 240, but will on 110

About a week ago, I had a panel change at the house. That night, the Tesla wouldn't charge. I called the electrician, and he showed up the next morning and opened the outlet to see if anything looked wrong. He then, closed it up and viola! The car began charging again. He said that he had...

    Climate control algorithm V7.0

Odd, it's quite chilly in the N.E. today and I had to set the car to 83 to make it even close to comfortable. Supercharging letter from Tesla 8-13-2015

I haven't gotten one, however I was concerned that I might, as I have had a few runs in my 60 where it would be close to 10 or so miles left by the time I got home, so I would stop on my way back (say 30 miles from home) to top off so I would have miles left for errands and running the kids...

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

Last week I noticed that when I had pre-cooled the car, when I went out to open the door handle, there was cold air blowing onto the handle at the driver and passenger front door handles... Not sure if it was intentional or by design, but much appreciated to have a (somewhat) cool handle.
