I totally agree but wasn't smart enough to do my research before pulling trigger on the upgrade. Total waste! In two weeks, I've never dipped below 200km of range but would have liked slightly more speed.

Would you have upgraded to 75 if it also made the car faster?

They'll tell you not to charge the 75 to 100% unless necessary for a trip. Apparently it is bad for the battery

I had the same problem. At the orientation pick up, I noticed that the screen said 70... they were apologetic and said they'd figure it out. They called back and said it would be fixed overnight. The next morning the screen said 75D. It really seemed like it was easy for them.

I received the software upgrade but not the badge. Apparently waiting on the badge for another couple week. They should be able to do the software upgrade easily, they did it overnight. If I had the option, I'd cancel it and stick with the 70D and just change setting to charge battery to 100%...

That would make more sense but I was told that it was software limited to increase likelihood of people going with the 90D

How much more likel Wait until they include a performance boost with the 75D, I did the upgrade and it was a waste of money.

I suspect I'm not alone being frustrated that upgrading to the 75D did not come with any performance boost. I'm curious how much it would increase the likelihood of people upgrading if it also got the 0 to 60 to below 5 seconds.

I would love to see Tesla partner with Michael Bloomberg to create a new brand focused on taxi, ambulances, police cars and other government focused vehicles. Bloomberg would infuse the necessary capital and would own government doors. It should be separate from Tesla to not dilute the brand...
