    Model Y changes over time

This thread makes me happysad about my <13K early MYLR. Kept radar, lumbar & 980 motors but also missed out on a lot of great changes. Feels like this would be great to have as a comparison sticky page somewhere for the future, maybe searchable by production date range?

    What's your 100% charge range?

I have a June 2020 MY with about 29K KM / 18K Miles. My full charge at 100% is showing 448KM / 278 Miles. I know the topic has been beaten to death and back but still curious to see what others are seeing for a full charge after similar mileage.

    Model Y Brake Service

Thanks for the details. You’re saying I should leave the front alone and only disassemble the rear?

    Model Y Brake Service

That's the plan, about to take winter's off and wanted to do the brake part myself. Can't seem to find if it's the same as the M3 for torque?

    Model Y Brake Service

In cold weather regions (i.e salt on the roads), Tesla has it listed to clean and lube the calipers. See: Car Maintenance

    Model Y Brake Service

I am looking at doing the recommended brake service on the MY, there are a few decent videos for the M3 but nothing on the Y. I saw that the brakes are bigger and expect that the procedure might be slightly different. Has anyone gone through the steps and has a reference (perhaps from the...

    PSA Frunk Dents Super Easy

My approach is to use the frunk for all my "almost never/emergency" storage needs. Put the tire pump, mobile charger, blankets, road hazard kit etc. After seeing all the horror stories I look at it as an almost gimmick unfortunately. Maybe one day they will make a stronger or auto closing option...

Caliper pins dry or lubricated from factory

That would be super helpful to learn, thank you! I am still on the fence about trying to do the brake service after winter myself or paying the mobile tech $175+tax for it. Have to rotate/switch tires anyway and already have everything except lubricant in the garage.

Caliper pins dry or lubricated from factory

Has anyone inspected the brakes on the MY yet? I want to know if they are dry-packing the caliper pins or have they started lubricating them from the factory on the Y.

    FRONT TRUNK SENSOR ISSUE!

Scratched my own itch and found a teardown video but from the Model 3: According to this, it handles 12v power distribution and eliminates the need for a fusebox as well. Pretty cool design and definitely looks like a very expensive part.

    FRONT TRUNK SENSOR ISSUE!

Does anyone know what else this front controller "ASY. FRONT CONTROLLER GEN 3(1497317-00-F)" is responsible for? I have my SC appointment scheduled but it is 2 weeks out.

    FRONT TRUNK SENSOR ISSUE!

Confirming the same issue. Tech said it’s a known defect now from the factory. Was diagnosed via mobile visit and then scheduled for repair to replace ASY. VC FRONT, GEN3 at the service centre. Wonder what other little gremlins they shipped with the early Ys...
