    Scroll wheel behavior

I also experience this issue on a 2020 MX. I had the steering wheel button packs replaced which had no effect. I had wondered if it was a connection issue inside the steering wheel. It seems to have got progressively worse over time. I've submited a service request so will see what happens.

    Insurance renewal in 2023

My renewal is £1400 for a Model x. Every year it goes up a few hundred pounds despite no accidents and increasing no claims bonus. I think the first year was £800. PSA and Churchill won’t insure it at all.

    Stuck in Car Off mode

Just wanted to add, same problem, previously dissembled frunk to disconnect 12v for full reset. This time found this thread and wheel reset solved it, thank you. Issue happened first a month ago, did a 2 wheel reset today to fix the radio and then stuck in car off.

    Andersen A2 Faceplate Corrosion

Just to advise, if you have an Andersen outlet that has been installed for a few months, you may want to double check you don't have any faceplate corrosion. Ours has been installed for about six months, and the paint has started to bubble on the front. It seems that the screws that hold the...

    Rattling

Do you know if the rattle is the raised floor itself or one of the plastic supports it sits on?

2020 MX Raven Door Slam Rattle

Apparently this is normal, when the windows are fully retracted they’re not supported at the top so just wobble about.

    2020 MX Windshield Creaking

In my case I had a body movement related creak, coming from below the kick panel that covers the seam below the door. Where there was a metal seam, it would move slightly under flex and creak. PTFE spray solved it. There’s now another from the A pillar I need to spray.

    Water Leak into Trunk

Thank you for posting that, I have just checked my boot again, after I previously fixed the HVAC vent issue, and I also have a leak from the right side rear quarter glass! Water pours in when the rear quarter glass is sprayed with water from a hose.

Opening Falcon Wing Door without fob

That sounds like you dont have passive entry enabled, or something with passive entry is not working

    Water Leak into Trunk

I’ve had water intrusion from 2 issues. One is the seams sometimes have poorly applied sealant. The main one is all 4 HVAC exit vents have a foam gasket which can be poorly sealed against the car. This means when the exit vents encounter spray, the water comes into the vent, drips to the bottom...

Model X 2019 Raven Sound Deadening Doors Project

There is the rear motor in the back which can be very whiney. There's a layer of foam/mass loaded vinyl/carpet. Without those layers it's very irritating to humans. Possibly the dog can hear frequencies we can't that aren't blocked by those materials.

Issues with T5 Samsung portable SSD device

I’ve been having the same issue with a Tesla recommended USB drive, and previously two different Micro SD cards in two different SD USB readers. Hoping it’s a software issue they’ll eventually resolve.

Model X Front Windshield Wiper Blades Not User Serviceable?

That sounds like the issue I had, caused by the blade arm being at an incorrect angle. They have a service procedure and tool to align the arm to the glass so if wipes the same in both directions.

    Key security issue

Wired has a slightly worrying article about security vulnerabilities in the key that could potentially lead to theft This Bluetooth Attack Can Steal a Tesla Model X in Minutes Seems like this will be mitigated by using pin to drive or using a faraday cage for the key

    Windshield Wiper Visibility Issues

I had an issue with wipers smearing on the downstroke from new, I tried a few cleaning methods in this thread and it didn't resolve my issue. I saw Tesla have a service procedure to align the wipers to the glass, so I made a service request for this. They aligned the wiper arm and replaced the...

Car won’t sleep, hot rearview camera possibly causing 12 V battery failure

I've just checked my rear camera, parked outside, car has been asleep overnight without charging. Image is with FLIR camera, rear camera is warmer than surrounding so likely not off, you can compare to side repeater that is deffinitely not warm. This is a July 2020 car with 2020.40.8 firmware

    Model X Rattle Sources

If you visit that EPC tesla parts page, it has the parts diagrams, along with the part numbers. Then you can get the exact amount of clips you need, and the part numbers, and order them beforehand.

    Model X Rattle Sources

Where the striker hook is, the area covered by that spring loaded plate. There's a piece of plastic in there, which hits against the metal frame of the car. That required taking off the rear wall and felt taping it. The emergency release door also rattles, as well as the water drain in the...

    Model X Rattle Sources

I used Tesla Model X Service Manual Repair Procedures . If you're going to take things apart, I recommend buying new clips from Tesla beforehand. The white door card clips often break and the manual says to replace them all anyway. The upper trim on the FWDs has lots of gold clips that will...

    Model X Rattle Sources

I've been derattling a July 2020 built Model X and I thought it might help others to share some of the sources of rattles that I've found. Generally, every area of the car has something that could cause a noise. So, behind glovebox, inside all the door cards, under all the seats, in the rear...

    Crawley Update

I may have spoken too soon, 2 of 7 issues fixed. They are waiting for equipment to do scratch repair so maybe don't bring it in for that just yet. There were also issues with parts supply, but I think that will be an issue regardless of what service center you go to. Just glad it's much closer...

    Crawley Update

I took my MX in this morning for several issues from delivery, came away with a loaner MX. Glad all of the horror stories about no loaners and terrible service haven't come true.

    My Tesla camper

Thank you for that, I will test that out. That was one of my issues, I thought the car was locked, but tested by lowering a window and could operate the handle. I disabled passive entry to deal with it, but that's a pain as I'd rather have it on.

    My Tesla camper

How do others deal with keeping the car locked, climate on, and the screens off while sleeping in the back? I can't seem to work out the right combination of settings to achieve that

    Crawley Update

Excellent! Thank you for posting, I've moved by Brooklands appointment to Tuesday next week at the much closer Crawley, will see if that goes ahead.

First experience camping - two questions

With the light, I know that in the back of the Model X, if you pry some trim from the passenger side, there are flashing red lights behind that, although I don't know what for. I also had similar issues with the screen, I think I decided camp mode was totally unsuitable for sleeping, and you...

    2020 Shipping Movements

According to the inventory page JSON data, the Model S/X on the Safmarine Mafadi that unloadeded last week, have begun being processed at Tilburg. Assuming they have a similar timeline to the Maersk Ohio, hopefully theyll be ready for pickup in 12 days or so :)

    2020 Shipping Movements

I've seen similar with MXes marked as "London". The JSON data seems to imply they may be a Tilburg for processing

    2020 Shipping Movements

Thought I'd mention the Safmarine Mafadi is heading up the English channel on it's way to Belgium/Netherlands today. Hopefully with a container of some MX'es on board.
