    (Another) Winter Range Question

The range as indicated next to the battery icon is not affected by external factors, and is not a "guess-o-meter". It roughly does (kwh remaining * rated miles per kwh). The only guess is the kwh remaining, which is derived from the battery management system. It does not guess based on external...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

If I'm not mistaken these are not USB ports but sensors for the internal alarm systems on the European models. Older models would also have them. Maybe someone with a European Model 3 can confirm.

    2020 Shipping Movements

In the mean time we in the Netherlands are getting emails from Tesla that most, if not all, Model 3 deliveries will take place in December. With Toscana already arriving end of November, we're wondering why. So, we have a theory that I'd like to test with you @Mr Miserable :) There's is...

Love these facts on the journey of Antwerp. Was hoping to get some entertaining facts on Toscana's route while waiting on her... so disappointed in her lack of sattelite tracking :( hope she stays well clear of hurricane Goni.

    2020 Shipping Movements

Not sure what the measures are in England, but for Belgium I believe the rule is "working from home is mandory, unless that is not possible". Clearly, unloading boats is impossible from home, so it would continue as usual. The Port of Zeebrugge did report around 10% of employees being home due...

    2020 Shipping Movements

I actually suspect my SR+ to be scheduled for Tannhauser, as they moved the expected delivery backwards. Maybe it's even one of the Model 3s on the pier... Do you have more info on whether Tannhauser is expected to call on Amsterdam after Zeebrugge? I recall you mentioning this before.

    2020 Shipping Movements

@Mr Miserable I was checking the inventory page for LHD SR+ and seems that a new "ExpectedVesselArrivalDate" has shown up, now getting a mix of ""2020-11-28" (which I expect is the Toscana), and "2020-12-06". Does that date match up with one on your shortlist? Maybe Tannhauser?

In Shanghai they even took the effort for a fun photo op with the Toscana. She seems smaller than I'd imagined. How many levels do these ships have if they fit 3500 cars?

Keep an eye on your exact configuration in the Inventory page on the Tesla site -- then open up the Chat in the lower right corner and ask them to match the car to your RN :) Not sure if it speeds up the process, but it's nice to know there is a car on your name. Nice, that also matches the...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Got some really interesting info for you @Mr Miserable ... managed to get one of the inventory cars matched to my order, with a LRW (LRW3E7FA8LC****) And... *drumroll* .. I got the ship name! TOSCANA AX004-TOC-BE ZEE Tesla said: "It left 2 days ago, and journey is expected to be at least 4...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Not sure where this video is getting it's information, but the images look pretty recent (with the cars wrapped in white protective film), and it mentions "the first batch will be shipped next Tuesday and arrive in Zeebrugge end of november". This matches nicely with the ExpectedArrival I found...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Totally agree about TITUS. The timing seems off. There is another WuWa video stating GF3 was closed for 10 days starting September 20th, and supposedly Titus left on Sept 28th. That is 8 days after closing down the factory, so the cars must have been produced in the weeks before, so early to...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Found an expected vessel arrival date for an LRW model in the source code of the inventory page! ExpectedVesselArrivalDate"2020-11-26T00:00:00" Heading to Zeebrugge.

    2020 Shipping Movements

Trust the Tesla account ;) so far, only SR+ are sourced from China, LR AWD will be shipped from the US, so keep an eye on news from Mr Miserable for your car :)

    2020 Shipping Movements

According to the sales agents they are the old, non-refreshed models. Videos from GF3 also show old models rolling off the line. They probably have the LFP battery though, which in itself should give a small range increase (59kwh usable, better DoD so you can charge to 100% without impact on...

    2020 Shipping Movements

So to continue with some Shanghai model 3 news; there have been some SR+ models added to the inventory in NL, so I've been able to look at the page source: All models have a LRW VIN, and where it says "Zeebrugge" as the transit terminal for all the long range models, there is a new "Trt" added...

    2020 Shipping Movements

I have zero knowledge on ports but the position of TIRRANNA in Shanghai seems relatively far away from GF3 + the parking places Tesla seems to be using (screen capture from this video): There is a vehicle carrier docked right next to the Nangang Wharf Parking Lot though, the AN JI 26. Is that...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Found someone on Twitter who saw a "LRW" VIN in the URL of the inventory in Germany. Has since been removed, so no more details than that... You can still see the 5.6s 0-100 time so it would be a Standard Range Plus. But sure seems like something is heading our way.

    2020 Shipping Movements

Well, the picture was taken from almost 800km / 500mi away, so looks pretty hi res to me ;) looks like they made up for the empty spots since the beginning of the week!

    2020 Shipping Movements

I've also taken a look, and seems that the CountryOfOrigin is different for several of the cars mentioned, but the "TrtName" is "ICO FTZ Zeebrugge" for all of them. Some of them mention Drammen Norway, some Neuss (near Dusseldorf Germany), some France, some Malmo Sweden. I think these are unsold...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Sales advisors from Tesla in the Netherlands seem to indicate that all Q4 SR+ models will be the old model, while LR and P will be the refreshed model. I find this confidence a bit strange as we've seen the refreshed models come off the line since start of Q4 production afaik, which leads some...

    M3 Refresh

BTW, sales advisors in the Netherlands are saying the Q4 deliveries of SR+ spec are the "old" model, while the LR and P spec will already be the refreshed models. Would be interesting to see what they tell you in the UK (since the cars are arriving on the same boat)

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Ok so about the heat pump and the range increase, I'm slightly confused. If the range increase is due to the heat pump, we would see a relatively higher increase in the SR+ than the LR because the energy lost to heating the cabin is constant; say it used to be 4kwh and now is 1kwh, this benetits...

    New Model 3 Sport wheels

Just opened up the Tesla configurator for the Netherlands and it's updated to the new wheels and black trim! Also looks like the Aero covers got an update? They look more "flat" than before to me? It also confirms the electric boot in text, but no mention of a heat pump

    2020 Shipping Movements

This is getting very off-topic (more abouts VINs and RNs than ships), but in short -- there was a "guaranteed delivery in 2020" deadline of Oct 7th published on the Dutch website of Tesla, so if your lease company put in the order before that date, you should be fine. I recon even after that...

    M3 Refresh

Could be the protective film, but could also just be artifacts in the pictures; artificial sharpening usually makes up some pixels to give the impression of a sharper image when zoomed out, so I wouldn't count on the white cars to be depicted very accurately. Hope we get some more close up...

    M3 Refresh

I was wondering the same thing, so hoping CSI (the tv show) could help me, I tried to zoom into these pictures and compare them a bit with the drone shots the same Twitter user made back in August... here are the results: Crop of picture he made on August 17th: You can clearly see all the...

Some more pictures from Pier 80 from yesterday (if the tweet is to be believed). Seems like they need to bring in a bunch more cars before the lot is packed. Can understand they'd wait until Friday / RCC ANTWERP.

    New Model 3 Sport wheels

Oh boy. I ordered a M3 with the sports rims, expected deliver in november (Europe). I liked the look of the sport rims better with the chrome on the windows. But now they not only remove the chrome (making it match better with the aeros), but also uglify the sport rims. Hope we get some more...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Some pictures doing the rounds today about the refreshed M3, but maybe most notably for this thread the manufacturing sticker says date 8th of October and looks like it's heading to a RHD country in Asia, so if these go to the Viking Japan could be a probable destination?

Mode 3 with heat pump delivered to EU

This makes very little sense... all the ships arriving in Europe right now would have cars on board that are produced mid-late august in Fremont. All the current US deliveries would actually be manufactured after the cars that are arriving in Europe right now. Unless they somehow have multiple...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Just checking, but does this imply you do not expect any ships departing from SFO in September at all? Waiting for an M3 delivered to Zeebrugge in October, but in that case it would be closer to November?
