Yesterday I received a text asking me to schedule delivery, which I do. Today Tesla changes my approved 2.49% to 3.79% because it expired. Today I cancelled my Tesla.

Checked tesla.com today (ok checked like 5 times today) and noticed the original order was assigned a "2021" VIN and the delivery date range was bumped to 12/7 - 12/13. No text or email from Tesla or SA. Interestingly enough, the second order, which was done on 10/16, had not been assigned a VIN.

Just turned on YouTube and searched for 2021 Tesla Model 3. There were four new 2021 TM3 Delivery videos, all were SR3+ in Canada.

Ordered my TM3 on 9/27, delivery was set for 10/16 but chose to pass on it for a 2021. Website shows delivery range of 11/1 - 11/29. Received a text (as I posted earlier) on 11/10 stating delivery is 3 - 6 weeks out. My concern is the online order still shows the 2020 model.

I received an automated text message from Tesla on yesterday (11/10) stating delivery in 3-6 weeks.

I did the same thing. VIN is gone, delivery date moved from October to November, but order still shows 2020.

Would also like to hear if you've your SA or Tesla has shared anything with you about existing 2020 orders being changed to 2020 orders.

Just got off the phone with my SA. He tells me they are not expecting to receive any updated TM3 this year.

Got It. So is it that we just don't know for sure which of the rumored changes are included in this first batch of 2021's?

Well I pulled the trigger or un-pulled it. Care was ready for pickup on Friday but I told my SA we wanted to delay delivery until November/December.

Thanks man! It looks like it left the factory between 9/5 and 9/12. The TM3 is for my wife. She doesn't care about the changes. My concern is in 3 years will a 2020 that's only a month or 2 older than a 2021 bring a lot less on resale or trade?

Based on the VIN and the order tracking sheet it looks like its in a batch of September cars. Is there anyway to determine what month the TM3 was manufactured based on the VIN serial #?

I'm going to take your advice. But should we wait a month, 6 months a year or more? The the 2021+, 2022 and 2023 will likely have updates not available on the 2020 and 2021. I hope Tesla stops improving the Model 3 once I take delivery...Just kidding :p.
