    Supercharger - Wake Forest, NC

Location address in plaintext: Wake Forest Crossing (anchors: Lowes Foods and Kohls) 12536 Capital Blvd Wake Forest, NC 27587
  2. C

Supercharger - Franklin, NC (back Under Contstruction)

Thank you!!! Boy somebody is really going to eat some rework cost there.
  3. C

Supercharger - Franklin, NC (back Under Contstruction)

@randy206 I see you are catching up :) If you are there, could you update us on exactly what has been done? Yes, they are removing stuff, but what has been done so far exactly? Just pedestals removed? Cabinets? Conduit and wiring?
  4. C

Supercharger - Franklin, NC (back Under Contstruction)

Well this is a surprise! Hopefully this is "just" some rework, like some part of the in-ground work was found to be unacceptable well after the fact. If so, I can only imagine the drama surrounding the surveying or the final inspection or whatever step in this process failed here. Tropical...
  5. C

    Supercharger - Austell, GA

I stopped by; no signs of construction yet. The digging activity out on the street (two places) that I described previously seems to have wrapped up. I don't know if either was related to this or not. The surveyor flags along the street are still there.
  6. C

    Supercharger - Alexander City, AL

Thanks, and welcome to the forum!
  7. C

    Supercharger - Bossier City, LA

The utility meters typically come after the site passes final inspection by the local authority, which obviously needs to get requested and then executed. So, probably a week max unless there's some unique backlog there.
  8. C

    Supercharger - Hendersonville, NC

FYI that other non-Tesla site (that I posted about in Nov 2023, above) finally started seeing construction a couple days ago, so hopefully soon there will be another option. It will compare poorly to this Tesla site in literally every way, but still, it'll be an option.
  9. C

    Supercharger - Sylva, NC

Ha, I thought someone would chime in with that (and hi Scott). So noooope Rivian owners do not have official access yet. Scrutinize those stories closer. Rivian owner forums are currently full of people a) excited about getting an email inviting them to get in line to someday get an adapter...
  10. C

    Supercharger - Prattville, AL

As for the latter, I'll step out on a limb and say 100% no :) No way would Tesla make this location the first place in the country (world?) where they'd deploy V4 cabinets. I'd expect it to be in California or upstate New York (home to supercharger build factory), just like they did the first...
  11. C

    Supercharger - Alexander City, AL

According to a (poor) photo and checkin on Plugshare, work is well underway now.
  12. C

    Supercharger - Sylva, NC

It's worth noting that NACS capability has been enabled for this site, so CCS users with approved adapters (only Ford, so far) can also use this site. In contrast, Franklin does not have NACS capabililty, yet.
  13. C

    Supercharge - Mobile, AL - 5440 W US 90

I was passing through the area and stopped by here to check on it. I did not see any signs of construction. I also did not see any homeless people, but I did see a marauding band of seagulls roving the parking lot.
  14. C

Supercharger - Lake Charles, LA - 1758 W Prien Lake Rd

I was going to stop by here this evening as I was passing through, but it was late and this one is best studied in daylight. It's possible that a Tesla site will go in here yet. If you visit, look a) for the utility transformer (large green or grey cube), and b) for signs of an adjacent Tesla...
  15. C

    Supercharger - Kenedy, TX

I was passing through the area and stopped by to get you all an update, even though it appears there are locals here that are doing just fine without me :) There were workers busy on site, seemingly focused on a new base for a light pole. It looks like the concrete pad for the transformer was...
  16. C

    Supercharger - Mathis, TX

I was passing through the area and stopped by for a first look. There's nothing here yet, but I could see how it would end up on the left / northeastern side of the property.
  17. C

    Supercharger - Robstown, TX

I was in the area and stopped by to check. The Whataburger is quite busy so I guess everybody knows about it now. I did not see any signs of Tesla site construction, although I did see a lot of surveyor flags on the south side of the property. But it would be pretty crowded in there -- hopefully...
  18. C

Supercharger - Kingsville, TX - E Corral Ave

I was passing through the area and stopped by to get a look. This address is a gigantic construction site. So it's going to be a while yet.
  19. C

Supercharger - Brownsville, TX - Ruben M Torres Blvd

I was passing through the area and stopped by to check this site. Score! All of the work is done except for the utility transformer (and meter). 16 V4 pedestals are in, along with their cabinets. Asphalt and striping is done. No signage. So this is really just waiting on the utility transformer...
  20. C

    Supercharger - Mercedes, TX

Ha! I had this on my list of construction sites to check out before I left home on a road trip 11 days ago. I will skip it now :)
  21. C

    Supercharger - Pleasanton, TX

I was passing through the area and stopped by to take a look. Boy was I surprised when I couldn't turn into the gas station at all! What I missed from above, or maybe it's not mentioned, is that this entire gas station is brand new and still being built. The supercharger installation looks to be...
  22. C

    Supercharger - Bossier City, LA

I have no insight :) When I was planning my long roadtrip down I-20, I looked for SC sites along the route that needed reconnaissance. Seeing this one, I skimmed the thread (which started in April 2023 with a permit) and thought the current construction was an EXPANSION of the existing site. I...
  23. C

    Supercharger - Terlingua, TX

As promised... I stopped by yesterday and did not see anything. I called* the host business today and asked about status. They noted that they do have the J1772 plug already (see separate Plugshare listing for plenty of knowledge on that) and the person answering the phone knew that they do have...
  24. C

    Supercharger - Tyler, TX

I was passing through the area and stopped by to take a look. It certainly possible that this is the Tesla construction location, but I don't think so. I think this is just curb rework as part of the restaurant drive-thru build. Until we see hardware going in, or at least conduits, anybody...
  25. C

    Supercharger - Bossier City, LA

I stopped by to get a look. Those two concrete pads have been poured, but otherwise I don't think anything else has been done. Actually, the meter boxes are in, which is probably new work. No meters yet of course. There was no sign of any activity in the area where the new pedestals would go...
  26. C

    Supercharger Trussville, AL

Nothing here yet, not even surveyor marks. This is a pretty tight parking lot.
  27. C

    Supercharger - Austell, GA

I stopped by. There's no change on the site itself, but there are surveyor marks along the road, which I think were actually here two weeks ago but I forgot to note that. But now there are also traffic cones staged stacked along the road. There is a digger staged about 500 ft north of the...
  28. C

    Supercharger - Terlingua, TX

I'll be in Terlingua late next week and will look. If I should be looking someplace besides Cafe Venga please let me know here.
  29. C

Supercharger - Burlington, NC - Garden Road

And for the record, the extreme right edge of the third photo shows the utility transformer is installed. So truly done and should be online soon.
  30. C

    Supercharger - Tucker GA

It's almost ready to go. Transformer is in place, and utility meter should be inside the metal box. Not energized yet. Asphalt is done including striping, but there's no signage and no numbering on the pedestals. NO Magic Dock hardware.
  31. C

Supercharger - Atlanta, GA - Buckhead Loop NE

I stopped by. There's nothing here yet, but there are lots of surveyor marks on the asphalt in the northwest (left) edge of the parking lot. That's where I'd expect these to go, because that is the LEAST used area of the lot. They might continue along that wall to the southwest behind the...
  32. C

    Supercharger - Pooler, GA

Aha, yes, of course. Wow, I am really shanking it over the last 24 hours :)
  33. C

    Supercharger - Pooler, GA

Yeah, sorry! While rapidly catching up with developments for the first time in five days, I completely brainfarted and read PStewart's report of "now open to NACS" as "now open to CCS / non_Tesla". These three Pooler sites have been open for months / years and I thought he was reporting...
  34. C

    Supercharger - Tucker GA

Someone on Plugshare today discovered this new site nearly complete. The Centre On Hugh Howell 4420 Hugh Howell Rd Tucker, GA 30084, USA It's a strip mall anchored by a Crunch Fitness. This is a super busy area, a confluence of major arteries, and fills a surprisingly large hole on this side...
  35. C

    Supercharger - Pooler, GA

On what basis are you saying this? (and posted in all three Pooler sites!) These do not appear as NACS capable (activated) in the Tesla system, and there are zero reports of NACS sessions at any of these three sites (in Plugshare). FYI, just because you see Magic Dock hardware does not mean...
  36. C

Supercharger - Atlanta, GA - Buckhead Loop NE

LOL. That parking lot is already quite busy all day long. There are TONS of Tesla owners in the Buckhead area, most likely living in multiunit complexes with little charging, so this will be super popular with locals. There's lots of short-visit retail in this strip mall including a post...
  37. C

Supercharger - Dalton, GA - Walnut Avenue

    Stopped by, nothing here yet.
  38. C

    Supercharger-Covington, GA

Aha, with those new pictures I can see that the transformer was there all along, just hard to see in the March 11th pictures. I see that pedestals will be on BOTH sides of the curbed landscape island / strip. Big site!
  39. C

    Supercharger - Austell, GA

No change as of today. I'll be back through here on March 30th.
  40. C

    Supercharger - Savannah, GA

Thank you @ItsNotAboutTheMoney ! Closed as in not appearing in Tesla's in-car navigation anymore? Stations powered off? Ripped out already? I've made a checkin on the Plugshare listing about it, but most of you all will see it via its absence in your nav systems. Although, people are...
  41. C

Destination charger - Whiteville, NC Smithfield’s

And FYI, jstrickland did create a thread for the upcoming supercharging site: Supercharger Location - Whiteville, NC
  42. C

    Supercharger - Eufaula, AL

Good find! I'll be passing through that area exactly one month from now, so could detour over for a first look, but by then someone else will probably have beaten me to it :)
  43. C

Supercharger - Franklin, NC (back Under Contstruction)

I got a local to check it :) He says there are 11 pedestals, which I know is an odd number but that's what he says. Transformer is visible at left. I've asked him to report on whether the meter is there, but that might be it poking out the right side of the transformer.
  44. C

    Supercharger - Alexander City, AL

I have heard today that Tesla is in detail planning for a new supercharger site in Alexander City somewhere. Permit sleuths, start hunting.
  45. C

    Supercharger-Covington, GA

No pedestals yet, which is odd. No transformer yet, which isn't :)
  46. C

Supercharger - Decatur, GA - East Ponce de Leon Ave

It's now been almost a full year since the Superchargers went online and the Level 2 stations STILL don't work. See my reports above for first a) my success in reaching the owner/operator of this parking deck, but then b) subsequent failure to get them to take this seriously. Thus we wanted to...
  47. C

    Supercharger - Statesville, NC

Yes, there are quite a few Supercharging sites at Lowe's hardware stores. Lowes Foods is just a Carolinas thing. (OK, there's one in southern VA.)
  48. C

    Supercharger - Mathis, TX

From the Texas DLR filing above: Start Date: 4/21/2024 Completion Date: 5/24/2024 Estimated Cost: $122,000 (If that is Tesla's cost for the entire project, I am stunned. I believe that is a full order of magnitude lower than their competition can do. Maybe this will be a prefab site?)
  49. C

Supercharger - Franklin, NC (back Under Contstruction)

We could use local reports. Is the utility transformer in yet? It'll be a big green or grey cube, not the white cabinets, which are Tesla's power conversion units.
  50. C

    Supercharger - Gluckstadt, MS

I'm going to be driving I-20 through that region on March 30th. Normally I'd try to detour to this site (like I did last June) but this time it would be a 45 minute detour so, no, somebody else can go check it out :)
