Significant damage to passenger side under door

An update! The work is complete, see the images attached. I'm very happy with it, you cannot tell it's happened at all really. If you go very very close, you can feel a bit of a rough surface, but I'd have never have spotted it if I didn't know. So glad I went for the cheaper quote. For what...

Significant damage to passenger side under door

So, I've had the £1,800 quote validated in person and they're going ahead with the work. I did get another quote for a similar cost, around £1,700 from another Tesla approved bodyshop, but I'm going with the higher one because I know someone's who's had work done there before and I trust them...

Significant damage to passenger side under door

To be fair to them, it's actually a 'quote estimate', not a quote. Maybe it will all change when they see it. There is definitely not damage to the door, the estimator even said that himself, so I am a little confused as to why the first quote (£7000) includes all that, including refitting the...

Significant damage to passenger side under door

So I've just got another quote from another approved bodyshop. They haven't seen the car in the person but the guy on the phone is adament they can fix the sill - cost is 1800, so much much cheaper, unsurprisingly. Not sure which way to go with it.

Significant damage to passenger side under door

Yeah, I'm going to get a second quote at the weekend from another "Tesla approved" bodyshop. I do want to get it done 'properly' to be honest, it's too new to not to, and I will claim on the insurance if I have to, but in all honesty, I was hoping to just suck up the cost. Not sure if it's worth...

Significant damage to passenger side under door

I have a Tesla approved bodyshop asking for approximately £7000 to fix it - this does feel quite high. Does that sound right?

Significant damage to passenger side under door

Thanks both. Looks like Ben Sullins paid a fair amount! I'll have to see what they say when I take it in tomorrow. Will update on this post so people searching similar in the future can find out.

Significant damage to passenger side under door

In short, I'm an idiot, and forgot that there were rocks at the side of the drive at this holiday home, and did a sharp left turn right into them. I'm worried about the high cost of repairing this, I can't speak to anyone until tomorrow, as it's late - has anyone has a similar incident? Images...

    Damage to bolt on undercarriage

I was a little concerned that the bolt is now at a slight angle to the washer, and therefore it may have knocked it out slightly? I've read reports of people losing bolts entirely from the undercarriage! Didn't think of sanding the plastic though, that's a good idea - thanks!

    Damage to bolt on undercarriage

Hey, I came off a curb at an awkward angle the other day and damaged the bolt in the undercarriage, not really sure what to do (if anything) about it. I've attached the bolt on the other side for contrast. Think it's worth taking to a body shop?
