FWIW, I bought the 39" long version and it was plenty long enough.

It is definitely fixable but they don't bother. The switch, wire, and connector would be an easy swap. So would the decor part of the console where the switches are located. Unfortunately since the console removal is required either way they just swap it.
S and X center consoles are about...
I was pretty surprised that the wrong switch was there. It was a new and recent build that I bought from my SC. I also have a new MX console that I’m going to check. I’m thinking of putting the MX console in my MS.
The switch was simple to replace. I’m surprised they don’t have stock of...
This is what I noticed about the 2 videos also. You can not compare smoothness in videos with different camera mounts (and cameras).
@Milan Djabirov I know from experience how smooth mine is at top speed and I am impressed every time. Have you taken yours up to 190? Or at least >130? You...
I was bitten by the backwards lighting yet again last night. I have given up on my wood trim and am replacing all wood with carbon fiber parts. Last night I replaced the rear screen with the thin bezel version and decided to tackle the center console decor swap at the same time.
I got it all...
I have done the matrix headlight retrofit and am in the process of doing the swivel screen and VCLEFT. Not as critical but I am also halfway through changing from wood to carbon fiber and my config now shows carbon fiber.
Do these changes survive computer swaps or upgrades? I'm going ahead with the 'steam' computer upgrade for my car and wondering if I will lose my matrix headlight and other config changes. I have been assuming (hoping) that these config changes are written to Tesla databases and not just the...
Thats interesting. I'll run that by them. I'm on 12.3 (2023.44.30.25) so the FSD would be a step back but the update would be a later version.
When you say it is not necessary, do you mean the center horn and camera button works without upgrading?
My SC told me they would replace my yoke as soon as there is a software update for cars with FSD. Has anyone here with FSD gotten the replacement yoke?
This is hopefully good news for me. I am getting ready to install the track package on my 21 Plaid that has never had any vibrations at any speed. I was worried that it might start vibrating after the install. 🤞
Yes. That is in the drivers side footwell. I used it to power my dashcam so I ran it up the A pillar and across the top of the windshield. It should be easy to run it from one side of the dash to the other.
I used this power tap (white connector in photo) in my 21 Plaid. As I recall it was for towing/trailer equipment. I think it went away after a while but if it is in your harness it is perfect.
I ended up attaching the dam to the cover instead of the hood. I also used the sealant that came with the dam which seemed to be solvent based which should give a better grip. I pre-cleaned the area with denatured alcohol. I am very happy with the results so far. No return of the smell (I do...
Correct. The hard part is getting the change made to the gateway config. Tesla won't do it and the techs I have talked to about it are afraid that config change is being watched and they don't want to lose their jobs over it.
Mine has definitely expired. Unfortunately the only plans that I can select are definitely not free (Toolbox 3 plans).

I can see the listing on the link above but when I click one it says I...
Recirculate would probably help keep water out of the filter.
I just leave my car on fresh air intake all the time. Which probably explains why I have the musty smell.
I know this is a M3 forum but it looks like at least with the MS, getting the filter wet (like by driving in hard rain with fresh air setting ON) has more to do with the smell than the humidity. I have been going through this with my current MS and the previous version. Diverting the air flow...
I ordered one - $27.95 shipped. If it helps it will be worth it.
I'm still not clear on the longevity of the hydrophobic coating though. Hopefully it will last a year.
It has been a few months now. In the past the smell would have been starting up again by now. I'm not convinced that it will solve the problem completely but I do think it has helped.
I do have the dam that @MFrunkerOG suggested but have not installed it yet. I suspect that the best use will...
The updated part has certainly helped with my car.
A diversion dam and hydrophobic filter will also help. I still suggest starting with the updated Tesla part.
Parts dept would probably not know for sure. Best way would be to look for yourself. Just pop off the upper cover and have a look.

I would think that if the airflow opening is on the opposite side it would help a lot. Throw in a 90° turn for the airflow and it would be even better. Most of the water would drop out of the airflow.
I just noticed in the app that the extended service agreement is available for my MS Plaid now. Previously I could not buy one from Tesla. 2 years or 25K miles for $3100. $100 "deductible" per visit.
I have had a fair amount of repairs on mine (very early production date) other the last...
The difficult half of the new housing assembly looks to be identical to the original. Not worth the considerable effort to replace it for me. The changes appear to all be in the front half which is easy to replace. So far, so good with no smell returning.
That is what they did with mine. Both filters were replaced even though I only asked for the hepa filter. The part number 1750575-00-C is the entire assembly - filter and housing.
Mine was apparently ordered as P/N 1750575-00-C and came as the entire assembly (front and rear of enclosure and the filter). I kept the original rear of the enclosure in the car since it was the hardest to replace and was the same as the new one.
It seems that changing the cabin filter helps a little but the problem is actually in the hepa filter. A new cabin filter just masks it for a little while.
I assume you can’t make a service request but can you send service a message in the app?
Worst case you could go to Libertyville again. Ultra red would be tough to match. I don’t think I would want a touch up or local repaint.
