Wow, those prices are nuts. I might offend some people in here by saying this, but the M3 LR is not a £60k car in my opinion - I didn't even think it was really a £50k car. Hopefully supply chain problems for all manufacturers will ease in the next year or so and prices will come back down.

AirPlay 2 allows device to device direct play, there's no need for them to be connected to the same network. It's been in iOS since version 8, but it would depend on the car having the right hardware to support it - which it might not.
