Well....drawing a line in the sand does begin with calling something "legacy", especially if it is a 2021 pre-refresh X! The optics are horrible and it just isn't a software thing at this point. For example, refresh X and S get the live sentry while the rest of us "legacy" can simply suck it...

Here is the deal, if we can manually activate the rear and the side repeater cameras while drive, which we CAN, then there is ZERO reason other than lazy to give us blind spot.

Starting to think....maybe....just maybe...not getting this is a blessing in disguise after reading a ton of negative feedback on the r/teslamotors IMHO, this is another last minute sh!t show like the previous years. Holding breath.....

Tesla (Elon) now considers all 2021 pre-refresh vehicles "Legacy" and for X and S owners, that is unacceptable and especially for those who have 20/21 models!

Don't worry, there isn't anything worthwhile for us "Legacy" vehicle owners. All we can do is enjoy our brick on wheels now. We are officially third-class Tesla owners now.

When the immersive sound was released, I have clicking when turning the volume up or down....even from the screen control. I am convinced that they do ZERO regression testing across all models. I have been told, wait for a future fix. BTW, this only happens with SIRIUSXM. All other audio sources...

21 Model X (pre-refresh) owner here and I was part of the Sunday 99% score delivery. Installed it but then had the next update take it away. Well I got the new update Monday and WOW! I am blown away. Super impressed at how well it does.....but there is stall a way to go before we have true FSD.

Out of curiosity, when you have this issue, do you have a bluetooth device connected and are you streaming music or on a call?

It's not a matter of want but a matter of what the future software upgrade path for the S/X looks like. Will it be forced upon the older fleet?

For those in the know....or who just either know, any reason why pre-refresh S/X models can't have the Smart Shift? Seems like it's obviously just software since the new steering wheel has a physical switch just as the stalk acts....curious to know and discuss.

No issues here with a 21' VIN delivery now with almost 1k miles.22" rims in case this is a variable.

Oh. maybe the same software update to fix the dozens of other broke items too? As for the legality, the device itself is not "illegal" and the use of it while maintaining direct control of the vehicle is also not illegal. There are plenty of individuals who have endorsements on their drivers...

I actually find the use of the steering weight as "necessary" and here is why. From delivery day and several weeks after, I kept getting the message to apply force...but...I was! My hand was on the wheel, slightly pulling it depending on the placement and yet the nagging message kept popping up...

Simple, knowing they were likely to complete an interior refresh to "standardize" screen layout was my biggest decision. I prefer and love the portrait screen orientation! I am not a fan of the "airwave" system nor am I a fan of the new console layout. I love the wood trim in my PRX-21 and not...

On the wood panel.....get them to fix that to be the same grain, period! The initial issue could have been solved with rubbing walnuts over the scratches.

So from the interface, yes I get the same issue you have. I pressed Yacht Rock and Hallmark came up. Here is the real kicker though, when I used voice command and asked it to tune to Yacht Rock, it went right to Yacht Rock.

And she is home! Excellent delivery and we looked over every square inch. Paint is perfect, no scratches, no rips, all seems to be perfect. They still don't understand how to spray the underside of the hood but they'll get there one day.

And just like that, the car is ready and I can pick it up today and not Tuesday! Wahooo!

Wahoo! Delivery Appointment for 11/24 is confirmed! That was a month from start to finish! And it was super easy to make the final payment...wow! This is how easy all car buying should be!

*UPDATE* Received VIN and delivery date moved up November 19 - November 25. Originally it was December 9-30! Yay!

Got an update saying that I can expect delivery within the next week. Original ETA was December so this is a nice treat.

Once I was approved for the Tesla financing, I received a text message from a Tesla delivery rep and have received regular communication with links, updates, etc. Did you provide a mobile number?

What is your configuration? This may be good news for my delivery if your build is close to mine.....
