    Supercharger - Tukwila, WA

Anything showing up on the permit front yet?
  2. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Tukwila, WA

Looks like the Tesla Supercharging site shows this as having a Q1 2022 completion. But I still don’t have any idea where it will be, so curious if anyone has any details?

98 Score - Got FSD Beta?

So it seems like resetting and driving a super slow and safe 100 miles is the way to go. Seems like they rolled out to 98’s for a day or two and then stopped.

98 Score - Got FSD Beta?

    Any update?

98 Score - Got FSD Beta?

I’m in the same boat. Sustained 98 for over a month and nothing. It seems easier to reset the whole thing, drive 100 miles very carefully and will likely get beta. 🤦🏻

Any update on this one? 🤔

Elon Musk Says Tesla Cybertruck Could Cost a Million Dollars

Seems like people will want the Cybertruck even more now that we may have to wait a bit longer.

    Supercharger - Forks, WA

I charged there on 7/27/21 and the back 4 Suprchargers were offline and still not working. Does it usually take a couple of months for defective Superchargers to be fixed?

2021 Model 3 Steering Column Side to Side Movement

I kept pushing them that it wasn’t “normal” for a steering column to move / wiggle AT ALL. Especially on a $50k+ car. I told them our $18k Chevy hatchback didn’t have this type of issue and kept pushing. It’s completely unacceptable for this type of issue to “be within tolerance.” This is a...

Range predictions and sleeping in a Cybertruck

This seems reasonable.~400 mile usable range for the dual motor will likely be sufficient for the majority of camping or other similar off grid / remote needs.

    Supercharger - Forks, WA

Anyone charge here recently? Planning a trip in the next couple of weeks, so want to make sure Forks SC is up and running.
  13. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Tukwila, WA

Anyone have any details about this SC? I presume we should see some developments if it’s still on target to open during Q4 2021.
  14. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

Going to stop at the Entiat charger soon. Still wish Winthrop had a SC. Had to wait for a couple of hours to get a charge at a local spot, so not ideal when visiting this area. From an exploration perspective, super quick charging is ideal. Not complaining… just saying. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Where to do window tinting in Puget Sound area?

I’ve had my last 3 vehicles, including my 2021 Model 3 ceramic tinted at Diamond Window Tinting in Tukwila. Window Tinting Seattle and Surrounding Areas - Diamond Window Tinting

    Supercharger - Winthrop, WA (speculation)

Yes, this would be great! I’ve submitted Winthrop as a recommended Supercharger location to Tesla. I know slower chargers exist in the area, but even a smaller (~6 stall) Supercharger would be great. Any update on potential consideration by Tesla?

Washington to ban all new gas car sales in 2030

I’m going to purchase artisanalfuel.com now as a small side bet for 15-20 yrs from now. 😉

Washington to ban all new gas car sales in 2030

Welcome to “news” in 2021. The FUD is strong with the dark side and continues to flow freely from our wonderful “news”, I mean “opinion” providers.

Washington to ban all new gas car sales in 2030

Some good conversation on this topic. Seems to be a chicken vs egg scenario in terms of do we wait for the market (ICE automakers) to pivot to EVs, thus creating an increase in charging infrastructure buildout? Or do we have Olympia or DC force their hand? There may be another factor, among...

Tesla Cybertruck reservations lower than expected

I wouldn’t be surprised if they make the dual and triple motor models first and MAYBE make the single motor at some point. The single motor seems pretty pointless for a vehicle like this.
  21. ijoe13

Has anyone here decided they will sell or trade-in their Tesla for the CyberTruck?

I’ll keep my 2021 M3 LR AWD and will probably sell/trade in my wife’s Chevy for a Cybertruck.

    Supercharger - Woodburn, OR

Is Woodburn back up and running? Planning on possibly stopping by in a couple of days.
  23. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Federal Way, WA

I’ve charged there 3 times, all during mid-late afternoons and it was ~25% full each time.
  24. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Federal Way, WA

Stopped by the other day. Decent amount of activity when I was there.

    Excessive steering wheel side-to-side movement

I had the same exact side to side movement issue in my 2021 Model 3 and after some back and forth with Tesla Service they replaced the entire steering column. Seems like this is an issue in both the Model 3 and Y.
  26. ijoe13

2021 Model 3 Steering Column Side to Side Movement

UPDATE: I ended up having the issue looked at by a mobile ranger who agreed it needed to be looked at in the shop. I took the car into a local Tesla shop, they looked at it and said the issue exists, but they had to get some guidance from their internal Engineering team. A couple of weeks later...

Looking for Pac NW EV Specialists

May be worth chatting with EV enthusiasts in the Seattle area as there may be some folks willing / able to help get a project off the ground. Depends on the project, of course.

Whats the difference between Gen 2 Mobile Connector Bundle and Corded Mobile Connector?

What’s the miles per hour charge improvement one could expect to see with the corded mobile connector? I get 33mph charge rate with the charger I received with my Model 3.

Model 3 Lack of Grip on Curves/Changing Lanes

And to add to this question, how long have you been driving? As in how many years?
  30. ijoe13

2021 Model 3 Steering Column Side to Side Movement

The movement is something you can feel. There’s a sort of thud type of sound, but the movement would be very difficult to see.
  31. ijoe13

2021 Model 3 Steering Column Side to Side Movement

Forgot to ask.. are you ok with the steering column having any play in at all? I’m going to have a very difficult time accepting it if they end up not fixing it if they declare it “within tolerance.”

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

I don’t expect FSD to go on sale (I already have that BTW), but simply was wondering about Acceleration Boost.
  33. ijoe13

2021 Model 3 Steering Column Side to Side Movement

I haven’t had any type of noise or knocking at any part of the turning radius. Glad to hear they’re willing to replace the part(s) as needed. I’ve just never had this type of issue. Not even on really crappy old cars I’ve had. Seems like this shouldn’t be an issue that passes QC.

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

I’m too lazy to search for an answer, so I’ll admit that and ask here.. Has the $2k boost ever gone on sale as in at a reduced price?
  35. ijoe13

2021 Model 3 Steering Column Side to Side Movement

I’ve had my Model 3 for a couple of months and noticed that the steering column seems to have a slight left-right movement to its. It’s small, but definitely noticeable. No matter how in/out or up/down I set the wheel, it’s still evident. I had Tesla service look at it but they said they had to...

    Supercharger - Federal Way, WA

Finally stopped by tonight to take a look. Good location with a Starbucks and Rite Aid near by. Do the destination chargers work the same way the Superchargers from a Tesla billing perspective?
  37. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

Thanks for the comment. I have to say, I’ve thought of Winthrop and the Methow Valley as “high end” over the past decade we’ve been driving through there. You’ve seen the housing prices, right? Seems like the few people I’ve known who’ve moved out there full time or bought a second home had $ to...

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

I think I’ll step aside with pushing this effort as it may have rubbed some folks the wrong way, which wasn’t my intention. I was simply eager to help out however I could, but I’ll leave it up to the town to develop their plan and will be happy to support it in whatever way I am able.
  39. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

Not sure having a conversation should be considered “pressuring” anyone. Wasn’t my intention as I’m simply excited to be an EV owner and want to see EV infrastructure grow to better support out of the way places as much as they do major highway corridors. Since I’m a Tesla owner first, I’m most...

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

After some back and fourth e-mails with the Winthrop Town Planner, it seems some sort of signature campaign or similar effort is the next best step we the Tesla community can do to show support for a Supercharger in Winthrop. Anyone have a suggestion for the best way to kick off this effort...
  41. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

I did reach out to the Winthrop Town Planner and basically got the same info. Seems like we need to find a way to approach Tesla again with this suggestion, but with maybe some added signatures or something to give it more weight.
  42. ijoe13

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

Any update on this rumor? Since nothing new has appeared on the Tesla SC map, I imagine this may still be a couple years away.

SB 6586 - Do NOT let this happen!

Inslee should be thanking all the EV owners by taxing us less and taxing the raised 3/4 ton pickups running around getting 10mpg..SMH.

    Supercharger - Tukwila, WA

I was looking at the updated supercharger map and it shows one coming to Tukwila WA. It shows it opening Q4 / 2021. Anyone have any details on this one?

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

I think I saw someone mention on Twitter that Elon said they would provide a menu sizing option in a future update. Seems to me like this new layout is similar to the FSD beta layout, which likely means FSD beta is going to be released to a wider user base (maybe everyone with the correct HW) soon.
  46. ijoe13

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

Maybe since I’ve only had my Model 3 for a week and a half, I’m the only one who doesn’t hate the new UI. Not sure I care about seeing more map as it generally isn’t needed since it shows much more than just a route now anyway. I also don’t mind the speedometer font size and the layout for...

    Supercharger - Entiat, WA

A few weeks ago I submitted to Tesla the Winthrop / Twisp area as a suggested Supercharger location to better support the RT20 from the west route. I hope if Tesla sees enough people asking, they’ll make the area a priority.

New Service Center - Seattle (SoDo)

Smart move on Tesla’s part. Car people tend to like cars that go fast. Wait until more of them discover how fast Tesla’s are. Besides, people who store cars at the shop need daily drivers too.

    Supercharger - Federal Way, WA

RT 99 is notorious for wandering up to no goods. Not sure I’d want to stop there at night. None the less, it’s good to see another Supercharger south of Seattle.
