I think there’s a lot of chicken-and-egg going on here and both sides are right. Yes, Tesla usually issues bulletins a while after issues once they’ve got their .. stuff .. together, and they communicate poorly in the meantime. But also, many of these bulletins were probably forced by legions...

Agreed. I’ve been getting slow motion buyer’s remorse. From not being able to find tires/wheels for the winter to save my life and then little things like this plus the service experience, and a year to get even into FSD beta. Definitely frustrating.

Nobody knows. There is zero information about any retrofit, and speculation would just be futile and add to the confusion.

If yours has 16gb then it’s even more confusing. No real consistency or rationale here. I’ve got zero faith as I have a 6/21 build, super early - but can’t see any way to find out as I’m still on the FSD build. Any way to tell perhaps in service mode?

Sorry. What @WilliamG was saying in that they can argue this wasn’t advertised for earlier Refresh (2021) models. It (AAA gaming) was one of the central infotainment features Tesla highlighted, continuously.

I really, really don’t think screenshots of Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 can be answered with “Beach Buggy Racing runs smoother, so we gave what was advertised.” That would be a bit rich, even for Elon.

Either way, I do believe Elon did specifically mention Steam. Maybe only informally, but either way - that’s a stretch.

Just to update. 2021 S. Exact same problem with piano with immersive sound up all the way. It’s got to be something with the immersive sound processing. It goes away when it’s off. Seems to be common, not an individual issue.

That was after 1600 miles though. First 1600 it was stock, still no chips.

1800 miles and mine (white) has almost no chips.. it does indeed show up.. the primer is dark. Knock wood. I’m in Colorado like the other poster. I did add Iyordanov’s larger PPF and the Tesla flaps around 1600mi.
