Refresh=SXM sends data to your radio. Rebooting the car or radio does not force SXM to send a refresh signal over the air. The only consistent way to do that is via the website, enter the Radio ID and tap REFRESH.

Except if the internet goes out in your neighborhood, MyQ won't work. Your Y will have an issue. But with Homelink also there, you have a backup. That said, no need to pay for MyQ if you have Homelink.

Assuming you followed all the steps to the letter, perhaps module is bad? I would try to get a replacement module. I did this with an ebay module without issue so it has worked.
