I'm satisfied after over a year with my SR+ in a cold climate. Winter tires add confidence in snow. No prob with city driving. Long trips could use more range in cold weather when range is reduced but not worth $10k for me.

Are you thinking the weight of the mobile connector may pull the 14-50 adaptor away from the contacts? Perhaps a heavy duty rubber band could be used to pull the connector towards the adaptor and take off some of the load.

You live in Minnesota, I assume its quite cold. That noise may be the heat pump warming up the car. When I precondition my SR+ by turning on the heat, I come outside and can hear noise near the windshield which I assume is the heat pump doing its job. It quiets down after a while.
