I checked carfax. The VIN is not recorded at any DMV as of 7/6. Seems great caution should be exercised if you are thinking of buying this car. I'm sure if you call Tesla they will have some 2008 demo/showroom cars going as they are now just starting to ship the 2010 models.

They can get up to 4 % depending on the % rate charged to the end customer. Unscrupulous dealers make more on the finance than on the car. Longer the loan, the higher the % interest the bigger the $$ It will lead to boy racers getting their hands on and wrecking precision engineering...

Agreed, I have spoken to Adam myself regarding the sales tax. If we stand together we have a better chance of getting it sorted. If they deliver to you outside of LA county say Ventura the tax is 8.25%
