Just poke the mirror with your finger - the drivers side mirror has more play than the passenger side. If you don't adjust it often and don't use tilt for reverse, just jam a small piece of foam into the gap in the housing for the true ghetto workaround :)

I very much factor in the small drift when the regen stops and before the brake cuts out, but it does cause confusion for pedestrians and some cars at stop lights. Kinda do wish it would grab the brake sooner. Cover shouldn't have any catches.

The refresh 2.0 S/X have the new tail light and charge port, which has space for other connectors. Unless there ends up being a large government subsidy to build more combo stations, Tesla is going to keep the TPC connector for the US.

Agreed, also small MCUs execute directly from flash, so losing an update makes no sense. As for parking sensors, I noticed in EPC the sensors are up to RevD and unique to the refresh. I'm going to have to do a controlled experiment with a heat source and then just do a swap on that sensor...

I noticed my car didn’t sleep at all post 2022.12 update until driving it and disconnecting from the charger. It had its nightly deep sleep so will report back if anything actually changes.

Mine still buzzes, maybe it’s fainter. Parking sensors still go out after parking in the sun for awhile. You can still use them by shifting to park and back to drive, but they get blanked out when you move. If you shift to reverse you even get the distance readout to the front when backing out...

Apparently parking sensors showing not working (yet working if you don’t move) when parked in the sun is a firmware bug. This has to be a first ;) And yes the problem persists on 2022.8.2.

First (!) annoying glitch is starting with my October build as the temperatures are climbing. Leaving the car in full sun for an hour+ leads to "Park Assist Unavailable" starting about 30 seconds into driving the car. I assume one of the sensors faults from being too hot - parking in the shade...

The viewer appears in the app drawer. Only the very first software releases had it omitted from there. Now, the energy app… that hasn’t made an appearance.

I’ve heard of no one getting them mailed, but many reports of service centers having them or the mobile service folks dropping them off. (Mine was delivered with everything but the license plate frame, which the service center had for pickup when I filed the ticket)

Based on the behavior this is 100% a firmware or designed in hardware problem. The haptic linear motor doesn’t seem to stop after it’s first tap motion and just jitters.

Note that this isn't the screen, its a digital effect added to the rendered screen contents. Yes, its intentional.

Got 44.6. No ARNR. Installed much faster than other releases, so probably MCU software only no firmware. Cabin camera analytics opt-in is the only visible change so far. I got the pop up asking if I opted in about 5 minutes from sitting in the car poking about, it wasn’t in data sharing before...

Ventilated seats are great, and use forced HVAC ducts to the seats for cooling. Very few ventilated seats in the market are good, and thankfully this is one of them.

There is a 44.6 in the wild, maybe they remembered to add it there :-D

There is some feature gating occurring. 44.5 and no ARNR here. Maybe it’s only setup for the 21” wheels at the moment.

As a leading question, does anyone with ARNR have 19” wheels? Maybe it’s only tuned for one sound profile on the 21”. I can try resetting my wheel size in the car later to see if it makes a difference.

Funny, rim shots tend to be close at hand. Its aluminum, will oxidize immediately. I wouldn't worry about doing anything to it.

They're also fairly high quality as far as holders/frames go, including rubber on contact areas to not rattle or rub paint.

Most cars need a firmware update to 40.6 if they had a new center console controller. They probably haven't had time to push the buttons.

One note about the Tidal integration, it appears to use "High" streaming from Tidal (when on a HiFi plan), and "HiFi" when tethered to WiFi or downloaded. The quality is shown on the player next to the track. If this is actually 320kbps AAC streaming on High, its a good chunk better than Spotify.

Looks basically identical to mine from some video pausing. Has the rocker panel inconsistency and the passenger side door outer top black trim has a very slight stair step between the doors, but only on the passenger side. Glad to know they’re making them all the same.

Yeah, if the door is not flush to the other door, thats an issue. Mine are all flush. The side lines (front fender to door, door to door, door to fender going back) are all consistent, just the rocker panel one is a tad off.

If you're rejecting it based on the door bottom to rocker panel slope, pretty much every refresh S I've seen (mine included) has the same door slope (smaller gap by the door opening vs the hinge). Outside of noting it once, I never even see it. Its _very consistent_, which means its a tool or...
