The S85D has two smaller motors, which are more efficient. It would still have more range if it was on 21s.

I believe that the increase in AWD efficiency is due to the nature of electric motors. They operate at a specific optimal torque and rpm. With the two motors, it needs significantly less torque and RPM. and uses exponentially less energy. Thus, combining the two energy uses, and gear ratios it...

It is very possible that this motor could be put in a Model 3, and they have been developing that motor for the AWD X too. It most likely is new.

That looks like a Model X to me. It matches the proportions of a crossover much better than a compact sedan. The D Pillar is pretty far back for a sedan of that shape.

I didn't ask compared to the average Joe. Just you compared the Model S to the RS7, not RS7 to P+. I don't mean it as an attack, no doubt the RS7 is a gorgeous and rare car that I don't see enough of compared to stuff like the E63 S.
