Any of you use MS Windows? Ever have an update break something that had been working trouble-free fuh-evuh? I think I will try vogz' process .. and then reboot the car .. and then re-pair.

Ditto here, vogz. My issues started recently. I can open the trunk/frunk but the effin mirrors stay folded the the doors locked. Unlocking used to be instantaneous on approaching the car ... before my hand hit the handle. Now its like 20 questions.

What is an OBD-II Scanner? If this is a stable, reliable way of importing Tesla data, i.e. one Elon can't break with a firmware update, that puts this HUD back on my radar.

I just looked at this again/for the first time and noticed it is an interface for smartphones and not our Teslas. I'd love to have a HUD but only as an integration with the car which I'd guess is not forthcoming. I try to avoid dueling interfaces, especially mapping. Will go back to lurking so...

Yes .. feather the (regenerative) brake. I drove my 2 month old M3 from the Baltimore dealer location to my home in York and never used the actual brake. The first few times I took my foot off of the accelerator, I freaked thinking I had left the parking brake on. :)

The trim is finished with a urethane. Changing to a wax or an oil would require the urethane be removed first to get to the bare wood. That involves sanding and that scares me a bit. Plus the above video looks like there would be opportunities for me to eff it up. :oops: I'll probably just...

Technically, one only needs a stick with a USB-C (male) connector. But they are "new* and scarce, so are more expensive. An adapter and a stick with the common USB-A is more cost effective.

@sduck, thanks! I think Genre - Artist - ArtistAlbum makes sense. What about the songs? Should each be tagged with Artist, Album, SongNumber and SongName, with the file name be the song title? I can easily boot into Linux (or better yet PartEd) to format, but the rest of my workflow is Win10 so...

After knowing what I know now, if I were beginning to search for mats I would be just as happy that I found them amongst all of the vendors as I was when I ordered 6/15. That said, I must admit that my anxiety level has been elevated a bit by the fuss. Human nature I guess.

I am still not clear on what these shades do. They look opaque but say they block (only?) 80% of the sun. From my initial research, it looks like the "dual" types have both opaque and screen shades. Can anyone comment on that observation?

I was mostly thinking about dragging water and mud into my car, and that all-weather mats offered more protection from that. Not that Persian rugs wouldn't be cool!
