You can request store delivery (pickup) or they preferably deliver it to your house. My SA did say that I run the risk of having a later delivery date than scheduled if I chose the route of pickup (although I tried requesting 1-2 days after I set up my delivery appointment).

Caved and also ordered a demo but it is actually a M3P and ready for pickup 6/11. Same black exterior but black interior. Other than that, I was initially looking at Model 3 anyway so it works out. Wasn't trying to wait based on my EDD. Total price came up to be about $500 more than the MY.

Was the delivery/pickup date (for anyone that did the demo vehicle locally), a week or so only? It wasn't a month or anything outrageous right?

someone previously a few pages back said that if they do a home delivery, you don't necessarily have to be there and can fill in paperwork online beforehand. So perhaps you can get someone to stay at your place to take delivery at least.

Definitely may have tried for this if it had no FSD..

That's reassuring since I don't know when I'll be in town with these EDD flying around everywhere!

Wow very interesting, I had messaged my SC up here in the Bay Area (ordered same day as you) and was told it would be either June or worst case July delivery. Granted I did have different exterior and interior colors than you :confused:. Lets hope you can get it sooner than August...

That seems like a very fast turnaround/EDD with a 5/22 order date o_O. Hopefully your EDD doesn't get pushed back too much because that sounds promising!

Late to the game but thought I'd post in here. Ordered 5/25 MYLR Black, Black & White Interior, 20" Induction, 5 Seater, No FSD. EDD 3-13 weeks.

Planning on bringing to SS Customs (website) in Redwood City. Been eyeing a lot of their work on their Instagram and seems great. Although I haven't reached out with pricing yet but you can contact them and they'll give you a quote over email.
