Canadian Superchargers now charge per kWh

It looks like it here in Pointe Claire, QC. $0.48/kW as well.

Going to a US Service Centre or mobile service?

I second that. Consider where you will live or be at most of the time. If the battery fails or has issues (I know it's rare) but having that battery warranty covered is a nice to have instead of trying to save a few dollars. So if you are living in Toronto for the foreseeable future get the...

Rogers is the carrier for Tesla Canada?

I was also about to post something about this but I thought maybe it was just me. I never saw this problem when I was out in Calgary but now in the last few days in the Montreal area, I do see it on 3G or no signal. No more LTE or 4G for the last few days (weekend). I confirm it is happening...

    Circuit Electric

Thanks Floger for giving more details on what happened to you, that is a terrible experience. I am not saying this is the case but some factors to consider. I suspect the long power outage had some impact on the CE's network especially if they were on Videotron as I know they lost network...

So far it has worked well for me. No problems. What kind of terrible experience did you have? Maybe it isn't the app but something else.

Youtube resolution now locked at 360p after update?

Exactly. I was sharing this with a friend and he joked about how I should just use a VHS machine and CRT screen to watch videos if I can't get more than 360. I hope Tesla realizes the Youtube resolution restriction and does something about it. Note: when I watched Disney+ the resolution looked...

Youtube resolution now locked at 360p after update?

Thank you for your comments... this is very disappointing @Tesla. For reference, mine is a Model Y LR 2021 Canada.

Youtube resolution now locked at 360p after update?

Hi there, I recently noticed that after the latest update 2022.44.x my Youtube resolution is now locked at 'auto (360p)' and there is no way to change the resolution. Has anyone else noticed that as well? In the past, I could pick any resolution up to 1440p. I wish Tesla would stop taking away...

Do USA Superchargers charge Canadian Teslas in US or Can$ ?

I've added my USD credit card to avoid the foreign currency fee to my wallet. Just remember to default to the USD credit card before you start the charge in USA. And remember to switch it back to your CAD credit card when you cross the border. :)

Anyone been to this supercharger location - 985 Boul. St Laurent Montreal, QC H2Z 1J4 ?

Yes it is there, underground parking of the Hilton Hampton Inn hotel next to Chinatown. Warning though that it is a mini-supercharger (you will get around 50-75kw) and you have to pay for parking as well. 0-20min $3.50, 21-40min $7, 41-60min $10.50, 61minutes - 12hours: $16, Max 24 hours $29...

    Canadian Roadtrip

You are right about Ivy being only 50kW, at least the ones that I saw along the TransCanada highway. I recall stopping by the Ivy and Co-op chargers and they are all limited to 50kW and I believe the price was $0.37/min if memory serves me right. However that being said, if there isn't a Tesla...

    Canadian Roadtrip

Exactly, there are times that even though the plugshare app says it is up, I had issues to get it to work. I recall one time that I thought it was just me but an Audi pulled up with me and he tried and it didn't work for him as well. The Petro-Canada EV stations are not reliable so best make...

    Canadian Roadtrip

You should have no worries. I have done across from Vancouver to Montreal and back and there are plenty of Superchargers for you. Having the CCS1 adapter is good because (assuming your car is CCS enabled) some of the L3 chargers such as Petro-Canada's (when they are working) you can draw 100+kW...

    Setec Lectron CCS adapter

Looking to sell a Setec-Power CCS adapter, $500 shipped. I purchased this new from Setec sometime last year when CHAdeMO was no longer available from Tesla. Only used it 3 times when traveling and has been sitting in the house ever since, so it is in very good condition. This adapter works on...

    Insurance in Montreal

The ones that I found expensive (based on personal experience) are the banks, CAA, and Allstate. The company I use is Aviva (thru a broker) and while I understand that the rate depends on your driving record, etc. I have been happy with their service and quote. I also suggest you look at...

    Cross-Canada Public Charging Networks

I plan to do an AB to QC and back trip. I plan to use the SC and hotels for charging and sticking to the TransCanada highway. It looks like it should be pretty easy. I'm going to include a March 2022 link to an article that was helpful to me with regard to the new SC pricing. There were some...

    Forward thinking building!

That's great to see. It wasn't that long ago that many of these 'management' groups would just give a flat-out no or say that it isn't possible or too complicated to do. At least in this case there is a plan. 👍

CHAdeMO adapter is missing from Tesla website.

Tesla removed it from their website around Oct 1st and hasn't reappeared since. There are speculations but nothing official from Tesla. At this point, you either wait for news or try to purchase the existing CHAdeMO from others or the Setec CCS adapter.

    Comparing Tesla Model 3 SR ( 151km range ) to Mazda MX30

IMO: Can the other EVs auto steer and start and stop when the car in front of you stops and starts? Get the Tesla, the technology is so far ahead of the competition. Not to mention over-the-air updates for many years to come. Have you also checked their factory-required maintenance schedule...

    CHAdeMO adapter back in stock

Did Tesla remove them from inventory? When I tried to look it up, it seems to be no longer listed, and then when I tried the link mentioned earlier, it gives me a 404 error.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

I hear ya. I've had the same trouble as you are with the BTC using v150. Mostly with the Petro-Canada's chargers, I get it to work about one in 20 times, and when I do get it to work, it only lasts for a minute or two max and then stops. It keeps giving me timeout errors. I've reached out to...

Thanks for the update, it looks like we ordered on the same day. FWIW, here is what I found for those that are having it shipped to Alberta, Canada. It seems the same response from the UPS tracking as @srs5694 is getting that I'm getting. It took about 3 days until the "label created"...

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

2.35% for 72 months with Scotia. Originally I had a BMO 2.30% approved when I first did the online process but by the time I went for pickup, the conditions all changed and I was signing papers from Scotia. Based on my experience, here is what I found. 1 - When you do all the online ordering...

Calgary area - NEMA 14-50 Adapter (new, unopened box) for sale

I thought before I return it back to Tesla for a refund perhaps someone in Calgary might want to buy it and have it right away instead of waiting weeks for FedEx to deliver it. I have a new unopened box containing the NEMA 14-50 adapter. To charge your Tesla with a Gen 2 NEMA adapter. Simply...

    Phantom Braking - 2021 MY

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know about the bug reporting feature. I'll do that next time if it happens again. I too had the phantom braking happen to me today. Good thing I had my foot near the pedal and wasn't going nearly as fast, about 115km and it started to slow down (no cars in front...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Thanks guys, for a newbie like myself this has been very informative and gave me some insight into some points of view that I have not considered. Looking at the trend of the build-up here in Canada it does look like a long way before this standard disappears. At least for now, I have an...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Good point. I think I do need an alternative for the just in case. I hope that the CHAdeMO doesn't go obsolete so quickly that new stations are built without it but I suspect that it will be a few years before this happens?

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Appreciate the info. I have MY so I guess I'm stuck with the 50kW and being in Canada, I'm limited to the number of charging station choices. Petro-Canada is on the move to add more and they seem to keep a 1:1 ratio of CCS and CHAdeMO. I'm trying to decide if the $530CAD (the price of CHAdeMO...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

I'm New here, I'm sure I'm missing something, just trying to understand if I should go out and get the Setec CCS for $460USD. So if the Setec CCS maxes out at 50kW and the CHAdeMO Adapter also maxes out at 50kW, then why bother trying to get a non-Tesla CCS adapter when the Tesla supported...
