Yeah, sorry for the short initial post. The process was painless. I had paid online before the appointment. Just had to sign docs for Telsa to send me tags in 30 days. The gaps looked good. There were some water spots and leftover adhesive gum, but no scratches and panel gaps, and door...

They will attempt to match it to another order (most likely why some July/Aug orders get matched before the same build in May/June). If there are no matching orders, it will go out to inventory.

I remember seeing other last quarter hold off on payment until they inspected it. Then used Plaid to initiate the ACH and drove off with the car. You can always call and verify that payment at pickup is acceptable. I'd hate for you to drive 4 hrs and not be able to take delivery.

Have you done anything with the DCU offer? Did you contact them and tell them you're using other financing or decline the sign the documents? Also, does your car loan still show up in your DCU account dashboard?

A referral will get you some cash, but not needed for the loan. You will need to "join" one of the member groups to finalize your loan...to get the paperwork to send to Tesla. I found a group to join for $5.

I 2nd this post! The process was easy and took 2 days and 2 phone calls (one to DCU and one to Telsa) to complete.

I plan on putting a set of A/S tires on the 21" in October. Then in 2022 I will find some 19" or 20" wheels and have a square setup with A/S. Putting the A/S on the 21" give me time to find the wheels I want without having to worry about skating through the winter.

Look at it this way. By declining the delivery in June, you will now get one with Bio Defense Mode and a slightly bigger battery pack. :)

Ok, I decided to pull the trigger on an inventory vehicle (Blue MYP). My original MYLR (OD: 6/11) has had an EDD of October for 5 days now. The SA at my local SC indicated that I should be able to take delivery by 9/5. VIN: 252xxx. #TeamBlue

I ordered on 6/11 and still waiting. EDD will bounce all over the place. You still have most of Sept available for delivery this quarter. The CA rush will happen the last 7-10 days of the quarter and everything else will get pushed to mid-Oct and beyond.

I have to think that's a good sign and a VIN is incoming in the next 48hrs....oh wait, I meant in "2 weeks". :p

This is too funny. It sounds like the same conversation I had with my wife on Sunday. She just got a Honda CR-V in April and is now trying to figure out how to sell it back to Honda to break even and then take the 2nd Telsa when it shows up. LOL.

I totally missed you getting a VIN on the MYP. Congrats!! I knew I should have put the P order on 8/3 instead of waiting a day. :)

I spoke to my SA about it, and he said don't cancel the one I don't want. He said to let him know which one I'm keeping and he'll get the other matched to an existing order.

Yeah, I've given that some thought, and I will most likely get a set of Martian rims and an all-season tire to go on it. That is if the MYP wins out. If the LR wins, I'll still get the Martian wheels but use the same tires.

We have the same MYP dates and I'm pretty sure that will be the one that wins out in both of our races. :p

All Ys built after 7/1 have bio-defense. If your VIN is higher than 225xxx, then you'll have it. There were a bunch of people discussing this a month ago and were able to determine the dates (built after July 1) and the lowest reported VIN series with it. Good luck!

I put that down on my floor 10 years ago and it's still going strong. Easy to clear the winter salt and grime off of it...without it eating into the concrete. You'll be pleased with the results.
