    Big decision....

Yes, I'm hoping if I wait long enough I'll be able to transfer my free supercharging. No FSD for me, heck my S doesn't even have basic AP lol. I'd love to transfer my premium connectivity too, but that's not likely. If I bought now, there's free SC, 5k rebate, and the Y has been marked down...
  2. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Only 5k in Ontario..... Actually kind of hoping Libs or NDP get in so maybe we have a provincial rebate as well, like QC does.
  3. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Yikes that sucks. I did have the drive unit replaced early on in my ownership due to a hum, its revision Q, and has been rock solid for 250,000 kms. But ya, that and the battery have me concerned for sure. I think I'll try and holdout for the new Y tho, there are so many improvements in the...

Model 3 and Y the same price now in Canada

They have had some Y inventory models marked down to 54k or so, but never list price this low. Tempting, but hoping to get 2 or 3 more years out of my 2014 Model S 60, then get a Y refresh at a good price.

    Warranty through CBI Finance

Anyone have any new info or experience with the CBI warranty?
  7. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Ahhh.... Too bad I'm over the 200,000kms limit. Would be a no brainer.
  8. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Idk, I'm sure I could get used to no stalks, to get all the improvements of the refresh... Better suspension, noise reduction, rear screen, updated interior, better looking front end. And I'd want the Y over the 3 for easier entry, lift gate, more storage.
  9. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Is there anywhere I could yet a warranty now that would be valid in Canada?

    Big decision....

Ya I've done 12v twice (dies when fuse went in pack), and I think 3 or 4 door handles.
  12. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Idk..... Will cost me about 35k cdn after tax to go to a new Y. Tesla trade ins are horrible, so I'd have to sell privately. I'd also kind of like to wait for the Y refresh too, should be many improvements. But, I'll be really kicking myself if my pack or drive unit fail.
  13. hingisfan

    Big decision....

Hi guys, I bought my 2014 Model S 60 non tech pkg FUSC and free premium connectivity from Tesla (was a service loaner with 12k kms on it) back in Jan 2015.....fast fwd to today, car has 295,000kms on it. I'm getting concerned about the battery pack and drive unit, hearing more and more about...

    Local suspension work?

That would be these? Worth it to get the more expensive ones? Or just save the money and get cheaper?
  15. hingisfan

    Local suspension work?

Can local shops get parts now? Only Tesla parts? Or nothing at all?
  16. hingisfan

    Local suspension work?

How much cheaper than Tesla are we talking usually?
  17. hingisfan

    Local suspension work?

I'm in Kingston. 2014 S60, spring shocks. Taking minor bumps really rough. Any chance of a local shop being able to get parts? Or am I stuck taking it to Tesla Kanata? Thanks!

    Supercharger - Gananoque, ON

We just say Gan (rhyme with can) in these parts.

    FSD price increase - AGAIN!

Until I can nap and the car takes me home, and it's Teslas liability if it crashes, I'm not even considering. And I think we are 5 if not 10 years away from this.

    Getting ready for winter

PMC tire has nice RTX rims for a good price. You could do a swap and use stock aeros as the winter whees and nicer ones as your summers

    Trunk Latch Problem

Not sure lol..... It happens still once in a while.... Rapid pressing of the trunk button always works, you dont have to hold it in first.

    Where to buy 1 rim?

I need to replace one 19 inch OE rim for my 2014 S. Any Canadian suppliers? Places to look for used ones? Does Tesla still sell?

Recall vs MCU1 upgrade or LTE upgrade

Backup cam seems the same to me and works well.... Haven't tried usb music yet as I use Spotify and that runs much better now... I like the assignable spots on the bottom of the main screen, but i wish i could assign climate commands or trunk open.... I use those a lot more than any apps...

Recall vs MCU1 upgrade or LTE upgrade

Ill test this stuff in the next day or 2 guys.... To enable nav they just had to change my region from USA-0 to USA-USA after mcu2 installed. I probably wouldnt have done the upgrade without nav being part of it.

$1600 USD? In Canada it's $2000, and you get LTE included but FM is $500 more.

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

I have it on text from a senior tech, and on appt chat with my service centre. I booked it. 2k cdn and I'll get snappier computer, trip planning, nav, LTE, Netflix, YouTube, games. I've had the car for 7 years, 230,000kms, and hope to maybe go another 5 to 7 years. I've recently done the...

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

What do you mean it doesn't allow control on energy and connectivity? I do have free lifetime premium connectivity already. Adding nav and trip planning are the biggest reasons I'm thinking to upgrade. Road trips are tricky sometimes, especially in winter without trip planning. My mcu1 had...

Somebody upgrade MCU2 and lost free premium connectivity?

I have a non Teck pkg 2014 model S, no nav or trip planning, still 3g. Tech says I'll gain both and LTE by doing the mcu2 upgrade for 2k cdn. I plan to keep the car another 4 years minimum. No brainer to do it? Any chance it gets cheaper?

8 new stalls beside Panera are in place and guys were working on the electrical today. LOOKS to be within days of going live. Also, there was a tech repairing the broken stall at the original site.

60k with freight now for a base model 3, when it was about 50k after rebate only a few months ago. Estimated delivery October 2022 too. How can Cybertruck possibly come in at advertised prices???
