I just asked him to send me a photo and the part number is actually 1567500-70-B, which as you mentioned has the INTERIM in the description. I’ll call Tesla and check availability for this. I’m not sure why they ordered a previous version of this part. I hate everything.

Interesting. My EDD currently is December 18-31 and I haven’t heard anything about the luxury tax from my SA. I don’t think anyone else has either. But it does sound like we’ll get dinged if delivery spills into the new year. :(

At what point in the process does a VIN get assigned? My SA says the car is being built and is expected to clear the factory on December 10th. But I have no VIN and EDD of 12/18-12-31. Is my SA just talking out of his ass or is a VIN assigned after the car clears the factory?

Just got this note from my SA: Does clearing the factory mean it’ll take 2-ish weeks from that date to arrive at the SC? Is that the typical travel time for Canada as well? That would put it around the 24th. I’m getting excited!

I’ve communicated with my SA a handful of times since I went to test drive a MY in July and ended up ordering MSLR instead. Every time I talk to him, he calls it an alien spaceship. He hasn’t referred to it as a car once. It drives me nuts. /rant.
