Tesla is testing new tail lights for the Model S refresh.

Completely not happening. At least anytime soon. This image suggests totally new rear/boot along with new integrated spoiler.

Refresh Model S -- Rear Spoiler

You can secure a Tawain made spoiler from ebay for the pre refresh model S and there is a seller including any paint color you desire. It will fit the refreshed car, but it is not the newer refreshed spoiler; not as wide. Otherwise you can order a plaid spoiler and wrap it. You may want to go...

Refreshed Model S Plaid - Hidden Feature Coming Soon? (LED Lights!)

they are not simply trim pieces. there is a screen embedded....you can see from side profile view and back is wired to car. Whether they will eventually 'turn on' with future software update remains to be seen. Most intriguing I am not seeing any PNs in parts list for them to order as trim pieces.

Spoiler fit for new 2021 refreshed Model S

It can be ordered but as you know, its pricey. I'd wait for aftermarket versions sized properly.

Actually switched it up and went with pur9s. Expensive but they look ridiculous, will post pictures sometime soon

Spoiler fit for new 2021 refreshed Model S

While the older spoiler "does" fit if you want it to, it is not the proper fit for the much wider model S 2021+. I have both, and they are definitely different spoilers. Period.

    Accessories for 2021 Refresh Model S Plaid/LR

the tail and fog light tints are essential IMO. I'm sorry to say you should have just powder-coated (or painted) the calipers. I don't like covers. The Model S Plaid/LR brakes are beefy enough to hold their own and stand out when painted. Yellow logo on front hood better than expected but the...

Very nice. I ended up ordering 20" Pur9 Wheels in black gloss anthracite/machined face. Hoping to set off the wheels from blue car with no chrome.

New Toyo Tires on my MS

My only complaint is they seem louder on the highway, probably because of the aggressive tread pattern. I drive like a Fking maniac in my performance model and I swear there has been no treadwear after 6 months...its amazing. I have a new S too and on that car Toyos are only $200 less than...

To To be clear, I'm not knocking Signature. My point is on this new car it would be helpful to have a range of acceptable (safe) offsets for reference.
  17. B

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Not sure what you mean, as perfect fitment is individual. But, really what would be helpful is to understand parameters. For example, what are safe ranges for no rubbing. Keep specific fitments proprietary by all means. And, by the way, those deep concaves done on some of the wheels I've seen...

New Toyo Tires on my MS

NO way. I have this tire--its probably the best in its class. Blows away Pirelli P zero AS and my Michelin Sport AS

not the same. let me give you a real world example... i look at pictures of a custom wheel on a model S and like the way the wheel is positioned with the fender. but, i don't like the wheels themselves. this happened to me in the case of unplugged. i liked the fitment but hated the wheel style...

Buying older 21" turbines to replace Arachnids on Plaid Model S

100pct with the offsets. I am having some 20" forged wheels made and was going to do 35 front and 40 rear. The other thing I will have to think about is 255 vs. 265 upfront and 285 vs 295 rear. I plan to put these Mansory wheels on.

Buying older 21" turbines to replace Arachnids on Plaid Model S

You are probably correct about the technicality, especially LR vs. Plaid. But, I have 2 very reliable sources strongly recommending against any type of spacer with the new S... I still believe if you need a spacer, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah...tend to agree. I get the whole "consultation" thing because that is how they will best service potential customers and get the proper fitment. But, this forum is for information and education...there has been allot of people asking about acceptable ranges for the new S. Luckily it...

    2021 Refresh Plaid/LR Wheel Offsets

Yes. 10.5 is wide enough for me. Leaning +35 front and +40 rear offsets. This would make the stance slightly more aggressive. The new S is lower and much wider so already has very aggressive look. I would only move up to 11" wide on rear if I was tracking on weekend.

Buying older 21" turbines to replace Arachnids on Plaid Model S

Just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing: Topic was buying older turbines for new Model S refresh. No, they will not fit naturally. 265 or 295...the new refresh is substantially wider. Fenders are different--all of them. Offsets for the new car are different than older model S...

Buying older 21" turbines to replace Arachnids on Plaid Model S

Yeah but I thought you were mentioning plug and play. I would never use a spacer on a Tesla

Price the same, parent PN same, they are the same motors, confirmed by a senior tech.

Plaid handling improvements: better wheels, tires, brakes, suspension options

Dead giveaway on the motors is the Tesla part no. price book... Plaid and LR are the same cost for front (and its high as hell). Rear motors are 1/2 the cost on LR than Plaid. Here is the video, a great watch!

Plaid handling improvements: better wheels, tires, brakes, suspension options

They are indeed exactly the same. Part Nos confirm it and their is a Youtube video showing a breakdown of the car from underneath.... The only difference in powertrain, literally is the 3rd motor in the rear and its associated massive wiring connectors. Even the front motors are both the same...

Plaid handling improvements: better wheels, tires, brakes, suspension options

Staggered is best for the refresh. The car is AWD and violently torquey...don't worry about rotating. I've had 3 Teslas, all performance versions...tire tread was pretty even and I have a history of searching out Porsche Taycans to destroy.

    2021 Refresh Plaid/LR Wheel Offsets

I am having Mansory custom forge 20" Y.5 wheels for my new S. I am not having my car shipped to Switzerland (lol) though. They previously did a full job on an older Tesla but we are discussing offsets for the refresh now. OEM are +40 front, +45 rear. Anyone already have aftermarket wheels with...

0-60 MPH for new Long Range Model S WITH and WITHOUT "Drag Strip Mode"

The new LR is absolutely a faster car. The P100D has a faster 0-60 but at 65mph + the long range is an entirely different car. Traps way stronger than the P100D. Basically, the model S Palladium (LR) is faster than the outgoing Raven.

Real World 0-60 for Plaid & Long Range WITHOUT Cheetah Launch Mode turned on?

Front motors are the same, and by that I also confirmed both front motors have carbon fiber sleeves. Rear motors completely different.

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

I have a M3P and the S LR feels considerably faster. It also continues to pull where the Mp3 gives out. IMO the cars are not in the same class.

Unhappy: Refreshed Plaid Shredded Tire and Damaged Rim

You can't. Apparently Kairide is a Rimac fanboy :)

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

Why are you even here? I own or have driven just about every exotic car you can imagine, and there is nothing that stands up to the model S... Price and performance wise. No Tesla fanboy here, but I give credit where credit is due and buy what has value. Case in point, if I wanted to buy a Rimac...
