    FSD now $99 a month

This morning- On FSD 12 I was at a 2 lane left turn intersection with a large truck obscuring my vision to the left. Light turned green the truck and I both started turning left and some dummy in a white car blew through his red light and just as emergency braking sounded I saw the car and the...

    FSD now $99 a month

If you don't put anything in the nav then pull once gets you the equivalent of TACC as far as I have noticed.

    FSD now $99 a month

This will be like Starlink. Low entry price, then they will raise it over time. If you want the locked in price, you buy it but at this new monthly pricing and the fact that FSD doesn't follow you from car to car makes buying it a losing proposition for now.

The improvement is real - zero interventions so far on first drive through heavy traffic near an airport, then into mid-town, freeway, and subburbs. No mistakes. About 45 min drive. Assertive, and smooth. Doesn't seem any more "naggy" then 11.x - just need to keep hands on wheel loosely. MCU2 car.

    I'm actually shocked at V11.3.4

11.3.4 did great today on city streets and highway. Around San Diego airport it did fine but is too timid and no match for aggressive humans that are in a rush. no more ping ponging down residential streets is very welcome.

Say hello to an FSD/AP alternative, Comma Openpilot; OSS vehicle autonomy

Negative cash flow, and recessionary environment with tightening credit. George mentioned in a discord a couple of months ago they are not cash flow positive anymore but are now burning $200K/month.

Another of my predictive polls: FSD will or will not be achieved with "vision only". VOTE NOW!

Well, dumb or just want to be part of the future solution. it's a race and if you haven't noticed the cars are a serious blast to drive in the meantime! And... TSLA is not his money. He is an investor like many and he is obligated to do what is best for all investors.

    Tesla 3rd Party Extended Warranty

I will say that Brent did reach out to me in a very friendly and supportive manner, and the email I sent to him last Friday went unnoticed, so that explains that lack off communication. The idea of texting didn't come to mind at the time, which is why I emailed, it is just easier to attach...

The first problem I ran into was when dropping off the car I let the service advisor know I had an extended warranty, and his smile quickly turned into a frown and said "that's between you and the warranty, Tesla doesn't get involved." The claims process states Tesla has to call in for...

    Tesla 3rd Party Extended Warranty

I purchased an X-care (aka Xcare, Xcellerate) extended warranty service contract on my 2016 Model X. I purchased it last year after summer, so the policy is around 9 months old now. It is a 7 year policy that ends when my X reaches 150K miles or 11/2028. It is mostly bumper to bumper other than...

    Tesla 3rd Party Extended Warranty

I noticed there are extended warranty threads on the various models, but it seems that there should be a model agnostic thread since the extended warranties aka "service contracts" usually cover all the models.

Say hello to an FSD/AP alternative, Comma Openpilot; OSS vehicle autonomy

Yes, Comma has a vehicle matrix that shows what cars can do what. In my case, since the car I'm talking about can't ever remain under Openpilot control below 35MPH upgrading to a Comma3 won't add much if anything.
  24. K

    Extended Warranty

From my experience, your Tesla can already be out of warranty and still be able to get the Xcare. Yes, the higher mileage the car the higher the price.

I have an Xcare policy on a Model X that is currently in the claims process. First claim. Will keep you updated how it goes. It is for an AC compressor replacement. The policy has been in place for about 9 months or so, depending on how this goes will determine if it is something that can be...

Say hello to an FSD/AP alternative, Comma Openpilot; OSS vehicle autonomy

Openpilot Works really well on a non-Tesla that I have using a Comma-2, but limitations on that car doesn't allow for control under 35MPH so only appropriate for highway driving without stop-n-go traffic.

They are transitioning between models now. They sell the older Comma-2 and the newer Comma-3. The Comma-2 has one camera, while the newer one has 3. Both can do lane changes but currently the driver must confirm the safety and initiate the lane change by the turning stalk.

Comma.ai sells an add-on lane keeping (soon to be on-ramp to off-ramp) for highways called the Comma. It is compatible with many makes and models of cars (but not all) and interfaces via the cars OBD port and mounts on the windshield in a similar location to a dash cam.. It would be good to...

    NO TURN ON RED

In this area, there are even time-of-day based right on red restrictions. For example right on red not allowed from 7AM-10AM and 2PM-4PM, all printed in a small font on the sign. These are found around schools. They are probably going to have to tackle this in the map database rather than go...

Tesla has changed their approach several times now for FSD. It is likely they will continue to do so until they find a solution. Somebody saying for years that something can't be done, should be ignored. That's not a solution. Neural nets are one piece of the puzzle, if you were to look at...

Upgrading cameras yourself is not likely to change your ability to access the FSD Beta. You will also need Tesla's backend database to know that your car is configured with the new cameras, and only Tesla themselves can do that. How to get them to do that, if you did upgrade the cameras, is...
