Got the wheel installed yesterday. Material seems to be better than the yoke and this feels much more comfortable for me. Gave the yoke a try for more than a year and 14k miles. Didn't hate it, but wheel works better for me.
My service appointment got moved from 3/29 to 4/12 due to parts not been available yet. At least they gave me a 2 day heads-up on this when they messaged yesterday.
It looks like MS with round steering wheels are starting to deliver now. There's a Plaid in Tacoma, WA with that option. I am waiting to make the swap when it becomes available on the site. On the other hand, I would have liked to upgrade to a Plaid at this price, but not with the incredibly low...
This is the checklist most are using I think. I took this with me, but didn't really use it. I did take a good 1 hour to look over exterior/interior before accepting delivery. Having a second person with you is helpful.
Switch to Cash option for now. When the VIN is assigned, you can call and switch to financing very quickly. Switching to cash now makes your profile complete, which helps with VIN assignment (so I am told).
What's your configuration?
I got mine after a month just last week when I went in for a service appointment. Day before they messaged and said it's not in stock. But, when I went it, they let me know a new shipment came in just that morning.
Oh I hear ya. It seems they are randomly assigning these and not necessarily who is next in line. I know it may not be the case, but there is a very good chance they are also assigning to any orders post price hikes. I ordered after the first two increases compared to you. Not fair obviously...
Picked up earlier today from Portland location. Delivery experience was great. They let us inspect the vehicle inside and out for as long as we wanted and they were upfront about missing some of the floor mats. Car was nearly perfect. I found couple of misalignment issues with one door and...

I am with you on that. I can't imagine what backwards system they are using to assign VINs. I would have thought if someone rejected this, they would have assigned it to orders before me, like yours. Only explanation is that they are assigning to post price increase orders first.
Well to my surprise I received a VIN today (NF469) and I was able to get on their calendar for this Saturday for delivery in Portland. One thing I am a bit worried about is that the car is already in Portland. It could be that someone rejected it and I was next in line. I am hoping there aren't...
VIN (NF469) assigned this morning and scheduled delivery for 2/5. I called Tesla and apparently the car is already at the Portland Service Center. That tells me it maybe a reject for whatever reason. Planning to look things over thoroughly before I accept. Unless it's something major, I will be...
On the order page, you right click and click view source code. Then you can search for 5YJ or NF and that should bring it up if it's there. Also, apparently your dashboard should change from Tesla Model S to 2022 Tesla Model S when a VIN is assigned.
If you are using Chrome browser, there is a...
Wall charger installed, pucks, floor mats, mud flaps, SSD, screen protectors, and researched tint/PPF shops around me. I had aftermarker wheels ordered, but cancelled once I figured out the EDD bs.
Feel like a fool.
I have heard the same from a couple of friends about the FSD score. They are hanging around 80-90.
I felt it wasn't worth $10k and didn't add to my order. Now, at $12k, it's a hard 'no' from me. Tesla keeps increasing the price and I don't see the value in it in its current state. Plus, I like...
This is exactly how I feel.
Wife and I went and looked at M3P (she hated it) and the Audi RS5 Sportback. We both love the RS5 and they had a few in stock which we were able to test drive. But, we are ready to move to our first EV and rather not experience the 20mpg on the Audi. Coming from a LX...
Also Portland delivery with same spec. I was updated to EOQ this morning. It's unreal so many orders from early-mid 2021 are still waiting for delivery. I can't even complain of all the EDD changes when you all are still waiting. 😂
There have been several W/W configs on the LR thread that ordered around same time frame as you and they recently got VIN. Hope you will get it soon.
The stringing us along part really sucks. If they were upfront and said, it's going to be 9 months from order date, then we all can prepare...
Yep, anything short of an actual VIN should be taken with a huge grain of salt. In some cases, even a VIN doesn't tell you much until you have the car in your driveway. 😅
I think most west coast orders will see this update soon where we are pushed out to end of quarter again. I too had the 12/29 - 12/31 and prior to that a 2 week range in December. I hope I am included in the Q1 batch and not pushed to end of Q2. 😕
I stopped by the Washington Square store this past weekend to see if they would give any insight about my order and if they say it's months away, I was set on ordering a M3P. I got to sit in the MS Plaid they had on the floor and chat with a friendly person who works there. That was that and my...
Howdy neighbor? What's your order configuration?
My 5 month wait has been tough, but 1+ years is pretty rough. Like @CongoBongo mentioned, it's likely you are getting treated like a June 2021 order. On the LR thread, we see folks who have been waiting on MSLR since Feb-March of 2021.
Any...
Trying to be positive here, but that sucks. You have been waiting for so long now. We have the exact EDD now somehow even with my order been 3.5 months later. I wouldn't mind if they were upfront and said expect the car in some month way down the road, instead of stringing us along week by week.
Mine slipped a bit to Jan 13 - Feb 10. I just can't help myself so I check the account at least once a day. I have thought about going for a M3P several times, but I really like the MS design and the extra space is useful. If what @burnside's SA mentioned holds true, it sounds like a long road...
Very similar EDD here for same spec. And I think we are probably same delivery location. (Portland?) I am curious to see what movement we will see in the next couple of days.
Seems like all of us in Washington have a pretty big window. Jan 4 - Feb 1 here.
In the meantime, there are still 13 Plaids in stock in Portland/Seattle area. Sigh..
I have 60amp breaker for sure. My friend's M3LR charged at 48amp (about 44mph) on the Gen 3 wall charger in my garage. I don't have my MS to test this yet, but I was referring to the table on the wall connector specs site which says 34 mph for the MS. It sounds like @Almost saw 45mph on his...
