    Supercharger - Newport News, VA

On a trip last week to Virginia Beach, I had to stop at the Newport News supercharger at the Patrick Henry Mall on 12300 Jefferson Ave. I was in a hurry, in pain and barely able to walk from a foot injury, and not thinking straight, so it did not occur to me to take pictures. However, this...

Tesla Charge on Solar keeps waking vehicle up

Now I am kind of glad that mine doesn't work. I did have a humorous chat with tech support this morning trying to figure out why it wasn't working. During this chat they simultaneously told me that my Powerwall firmware did not support charge on solar and that I had the latest firmware. I had...

    Park Assist and 23.12.300.1

Update to my own post above. After exiting and re-entering my garage, I was able to hear the warnings. Also, I believe I confused the lane departure warning setting with the park assist, which I don't think can be turned off, though I can't see why I would want to.

    Park Assist and 23.12.300.1

Thanks for the info. I will have to experiment with more use-cases. In my car, I have never not seen the "degraded" message. It is always there. It comes on when the park assist display comes on and never goes away. After my last reboot, the distance displays on top of the "degraded' message...

    Park Assist and 23.12.300.1

My park assist never shows a distance and always shows a message saying that it is degraded. Sometimes the proximity lines display as being under the car! I will try the reboot recommendation and see if that makes it work. P.S. Update: after a reboot, the distance and stop messages show up...

    Disney+ and Netflix

Same problem here. I am on software version 2023.12.300.1. My work around is I changed my Disney+ password to the simplest (and easiest to hack) possible. So watching a Disney movie now takes *only* as many key strokes as running the windshield wipers 😒

Tesla bonus free supercharger miles problem

I came here to search if others had my issue and this sounds similar to what I experienced; except that I got 0 supercharging miles (that's zero) from the recent, and still running, 3-year "free" supercharging promotion. I ordered my Model S on 19 April and took delivery on 12 May. I was...

    Solar Glass Snow Avalanches

Thanks but I wonder if that would apply to the solar roof tiles that I have.

    Solar Glass Snow Avalanches

I come back to this thread every once in a while to check if anyone has had any luck (my notifications don't always work for some reason). I just wanted to take the opportunity to address the few posts that appear to suggest that the complaint some of us have is misdirected. I will speak for...

Powerwall Gateway WiFi Unavailable. No Stats or Control Available via App or Gateway

Same here, for anyone who is counting. I have been waiting on parts for 6 weeks since the Tesla technician came to look at my system.

    Solar Glass Snow Avalanches

Actually, they do not fix it and cannot recommend anyone who does, as stated in this email from them:

I would add to that last line "or design a roof product without proper snow mitigation"

    Solar Glass Snow Avalanches

It is an advantage but I don't like the trade-off. I have 2,494 sq ft of solar roof. The portion of roof that avalanched the other day at my front door was at least 500 sq ft of 12" deep snow - so roughly 500 cubic feet. At a typical 15 lbs per cubic foot, that is roughly 7,500 lbs of snow...

    Solar Glass Snow Avalanches

I called Tesla today and they told me that they do not have anything, but referred me to American Home Contractors, a local Tesla-approved Solar Roof installer. However, American Home Contractors also told me that they do not have a solution. So, if you can share any details, I would greatly...

    Solar Glass Snow Avalanches

I just came to the forum to research this topic and yikes! Apparently, this has been well discussed. After about 12 inches of snow on my roof this week I experienced my first series of snow avalanches, and from a height of about 25'. Scary... If anyone in the Southern Maryland area can recommend...

Powerwall appears to not be charging

As a way to close out my earlier post, my issues were resolved this past weekend. There are some people at Tesla Energy who are doing an amazing job, and I am not sure how to recognize them. I don't want to mention her name but I had this lady who took a relentless approach to solving my case...

Powerwall appears to not be charging

Sharing an update in case it helps anyone. So yesterday (Saturday 10/30/2021) my Solar Roof/Powerwall+ system changed mode (I am assuming per some remote input from Tesla) from "Direct" to "Self Consumption". The batteries now show charged to 100%. The customer version also changed to 21.35.3...

Powerwall appears to not be charging

Thank you so much everyone for your responses, but let me recap to make sure I am following: - It sounds like the the "Mode - Direct" shown on the summary page is not a concern (?) - It is probable that the Powerwall+ is misconfigured to act as if I am not at PTO, even though I am.

Powerwall appears to not be charging

Sorry for my ignorance, I don't speak powerwall just yet. What do you mean by strings? as in the data type? where would I see that?

Powerwall appears to not be charging

I have a PTO according to both Tesla and PEPCO (my electric utility). I confirmed this directly with my utility. Whether that is how my Powerwall is configured, that's another story. Nothing has gone right thus far...

Powerwall appears to not be charging

Thanks to another member, I was able to log in via the browser interface as a customer. Turns out that gives me less functionality, though I was able to change the password. I am still not able to change the mode or other parameters. Below screenshot is the summary page for my system. Could...

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

Ok, I will look there. I was looking at the battery itself but did not think to look at the inverter; all the red danger stickers scared me away from looking there both for safety reasons and fear of voiding any warranties. Thanks @dailo !

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

I am not able to log in using the TEG SSID. I log in via my own local network using a laptop and a web browser - not sure if that is supposed to work that way, but it does. Here's the background: The TEG SSID in the sticker is incorrect as is the password. The SSID that the system is...

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

Yes, I log in as installer. That is how I know one of the Powerwalls is not charging past 16%. I saw the "reset password" button but have been hesitant to use it because my app reflects a completely different serial number from any of my equipment. Could you walk me through what to expect when...

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

I see exactly this and nothing else: Issue #2, and to make matters worse, the passwords and serial numbers in the stickers for the Powerwalls and Gateway have the incorrect information, so I am not able to log in to the web interface as a customer due to lack of password. Issue #3 is that...

Powerwall appears to not be charging

I recently had a Solar Roof and 3 Powerwalls installed. As I stated in other threads, I have not really been able to monitor or control my system as intended due to misconfiguration by Tesla. Instead, my only option is via the web interface using the installer interface. This is typical of what...

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

Sadly, I am on the same boat. Any drink recommendations? I got a Tesla solar roof and 3 powerwalls about 5 months ago and I am still not able to control or monitor my system. I am not planning on getting a Tesla vehicle anytime soon. This feels like dealing with a sleazy car dealer, only that...

Solar System is on but can’t see a way to monitor in Tesla App

I know that it sounds like my problem might be different but, for whatever is worth, I heard the same "your system needs to be registered" statement from the Tesla tech who came to my house today. He spent a couple of hours doing something, said everything looked ok to him and then left. My app...

Tesla quila empty bottle w stand

In case anyone is watching this thread anymore, I just ordered the empty bottle from the Tesla store this morning for $150 with stand. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but it was news to me that the bottles were available.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Hopefully we both get a good resolution to our problems.

Solar System is on but can’t see a way to monitor in Tesla App

If I understand your issue correctly, I might be experiencing this as well, which is one of the reasons I joined this forum today as the engage.tesla.com site doesn't have a way to... engage. In my case, I strongly suspect that my gateway is misconfigured. The sticker in the inside of the...

Solar roof installation and its required gutter removal

I had my solar roof installed in June and my contract documentation had the same language as yours. However, since I had just installed new gutters and trying to find a gutter contractor in this area during a pandemic was causing delays, Tesla was nice enough to let me negotiate the gutter issue...

How long between inspection and PTO? [various areas]

Wow. I should consider myself lucky. My solar roof and powerwall installation was 21 June, my county inspection was 29 June, and I just got PTO today 12 October. So 3 months and 1 week from inspection to PTO. I did throw a few temper tantrums to get that done and had my project advisor replaced...
