As far as I know the Tesla-installed hitch receiver does not allow reinstalling the bumper bar. I know that the Torklift Ecohitch allows you to put the bumper bar back as part of the install, but other aftermarket ones do not allow it.

Yeah, modern spare gives you a jack and lug wrench with their kit. But still, I like your approach. Can you fit the spare wheel upright in the trunk, with the rim facing to the side?

I ordered a MYLR back in October (current EDD is April/May) and about 3 weeks ago I also put down a deposit on a Rav4 Prime. I should have done that back in October, the R4P EDD is "8-12 months" currently.

Consider reporting to the NHTSA as well. They are investigating phantom braking on Tesla Model Y and 3 now. This is the organization that can convince Tesla to fix this. https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index

I'm hopeful that the NHTSA investigation will help get this fixed soon(er). Still on the fence about my order but as it is, I don't think I'll be happy with AP (and no real "dumb" CC).
