If you don't have experience buying rebuilt/salvage cars I wouldn't risk it. And for 45k I dont think that's a good price for a car with that risk potential. I've seen salvage/rebuilt model 3 performance's go for 20k with less mystery around them so I'm not sure this is a safe bet.

Selling privately is honestly a cake walk. Took less than a week to sell my BMW and the offer I got was 5k more than what teslas estimate was.

Called the Florida store, they said everything was good to go on my end and that the EDD still seemed accurate. He said to expect delivery mid to late march....ughhhhh

Still have a 30 day window! Emailed my SA to see if he had any insight. Feels strange to have no seen any movement in over a month, almost a month and a half now. Especially since I have a VIN before I put my hold.

My Jan 1 hold lift EDD has me at 2/21-3/21. That would be a sweet deal for you if yours stays earlier even though your order was close to two weeks after

Oh nice! I sold my BMW privately through FB marketplace and it only took about 6-7 days. Super easy. Got about 2k more than carmax, and 6k more than Tesla's offer.

Never trade in your car to Tesla. They will always offer pennies compared to what other companies will offer. Private sale will give you the most money.

I mean this is the most logical take. I'm paying $50k for a car, I'd prefer the best current offering since theres literally no monetary difference, and I would just have to potentially wait a few weeks or month? Like why would I pay the same price for something worse, even if marginally so?

But also, now that my hold is off I’m putting cash lmao because I’m trying to do anything that may push that EDD up haha.

you don’t even have to do that. My SA told me not to worry about choosing cash and then switching it, I was assigned a vin without filling out any financial info.

Definitely worth waiting for AMD. The videos I've seen comparing chips show the Ryzen being 3-4x faster in opening apps, running maps, etc. Thats too big a difference to ignore. And I'd imagine future features would definitely be locked behind the better chip. I'm not paying $50k+ for a car that...

Same here. I usually don't mind playing the gamble for missing out on Tesla features, but this chip definitely seems like it would future proof the car quite a bit. I can definitely see features, apps, or UI being limited to Ryzen owners in the future and would hate to have a car that retains...

Definitely, but with how much faster Ryzen is, I'd definitely at least want that. Cooled seats would be amazing too since I may be moving to Miami.

Now with the rumors of cooled seats and heated wipers, plus the MCU and battery changes I'm like....well I guess I can wait LOL. I would definitely feel stupid if I just barely missed all those upgrades.
