270 Days later - great delivery! a couple little things to fix nothing major

My understanding is the fastest they can do it is 3-4 hours to inspect and prep but a 24 hour turn around is normal.

Mine was a day after they moved my EDD to a 5 week window. When I called they told me my best bet is to look out for a demo/inventory vehicle to get a car early and then at 4:40pm VIN was assigned.

VIN assigned F445XXX EDD Updated to May 27 - June 04

Spoke with the SA (they were very respectful and not quick to dismiss which I appreciated) and they said my best bet to get a car early will be when they release inventory at the end of quarter. So the quest for a Model Y continues!

EDD updated this morning went from 5/11 - 5/25 (14 day window) to 6/15 - 7/20 (35 day window). If this holds true it will be anywhere from 282 days - 317 days from OD.

True that - I did ask my wife and it was an emphatic “No!” Lol.

I paid $330 (6ft from panel) and also paid an additional $350 for a whole home surge protector (not 100% sure how beneficial that will be but the electrician did a good job selling me on it🙃) - The electrician was one of the ones from Tesla's website (Find an Electrician | Tesla).

Received the trade-in text earlier today — responded with “No”.

I have the exact same EDD and got an automated text about an hour ago asking by about a trade-in as well.

I just entered my two week window today (5/11 - 5/25) and pick up is also in Kansas City - maybe our cars will get there the same time 🤞

Thank you! That is good to see - One of the Model Y Facebook groups I am in I saw someone with what appeared to be the exact same config and 9/15 OD get their VIN yesterday (they were in Denver as well).

Still waiting on a VIN but wanted to share my personal tracking I have been doing. The one thing I noticed was EDD updates have typically been at the start of the week (I'm assuming this is for my region - Kansas City Delivery).

4/25 - 5/23 EDD OD 9/6/21 - SA believes I should get my VIN soon because they should be fulfilling older orders (appreciate the optimism on their part but all taken with a grain of salt).

Checking in - I did end up visiting a showroom in Texas and spoke to a rep there and he took my reservation number down and said he’ll keep an eye out if anything comes. Ever since then a new 510 number sent me a generic text message and now responds back to my questions. I have also heard back...

Unfortunately Oklahoma does not allow direct to consumer delivery. I was hoping they would deliver it to my house but that was a no go. Options are either I travel to Kansas City, MO to pick mine up or pay Tesla $750 and have them arrange a third party carrier to deliver it to the house.

My insurance quote for the MYLR was $400/year more than what I currently pay (I drive a 2014 Jetta).
