I think for the hold you have to go through the SA, you can't do it yourself as they are the ones that decide. Maybe someone else with more experience can chime in.

I'm in Toronto, and I was inquiring about putting my vehicle on hold, I never did, but the SA said that it could result in you paying the new price?

Can you do that? Will they make you go to the back of the line??

I was hoping that in the Toronto Area we would be getting our cars from the Austin plant as it's much closer.

Contact Tesla or your SA, and they will most likely try to discourage you. I phoned them and they said they are not doing holds anymore. I'm not sure if its just for Canadians (not sure). Also I have read that Tesla is cancelling orders now (just search and you will see lots of threads on it)...

Has anyone thought of doing PPF on their own with one of those pre cut kits? I know you can buy directly from XPEL on their website.

I think the delay that a lot of people are are seeing (their car date getting pushed into the future) could be the result of the switch over to the 4680 batteries. Just saying......

I have thought the same about my model Y, and I'm reading a lot of threads where Tesla is cancelling peoples orders and taking their deposits after dealing with multiple holds. As much as it pains me, I side with Tesla, as they can't have people gaming the system. Just order when you are ready.

Mine said the same thing. I called Tesla Canada, and just got off the phone. They said its still showing as March in their records and could not tell me why it was showing that on the website. I did say I didn't want it this month with the snow and all in Canada, and if I could get a hold...

Just checked my app and the date is gone now. There is no date. I went to the Tesla site and can't log in, the circle just keeps swirling around so I guess the site must be really busy today, or they are doing some maintenance to the site.

You guys in the US are lucky. In Canada there is no such thing as diminished value.

I think you could be onto something, I ordered end of October like you, and have bounced around from March to June, currently sitting at a March date.

I ordered the blue, and yesterday it changed back to June. Have no idea why it bounced.

I think you dodged a bullet, and got lucky, your car could have been damaged, and now they are probably using that vehicle as a test driver.

You could always order, as there is a big wait, and when you get notified that your delivery date is coming up, just change your order if you are not happy and you should reset. I put my order in Oct 30 and my EDD is June 2022 so I'm hoping by then the new batteries are in and I will get my car...
