I just picked up the battery from the Tesla Service Center (tip: The parts department closes 1 hour before the actual service center). Took it home, swapped it in, and the car now works perfectly. Only $90 after tax! Thanks for the help everyone!

Just an update, last night I completely removed the 12v battery from the car. There was a strong smell of sulfur in the garage and the 12v battery had bulging sides and was hot to the touch in areas.

I can’t do any of this. Doors don’t open, windows don’t come down. The taillights are flicking. When I lock/unlock the car via the app, the honk sound is very faint, but car doesn’t lock or unlock. Car is acting all weird. Pretty confident it’s the 12v out of juice.

I read that the app can if your 12v has a small amount of juice left and it’s via Bluetooth. I had to be close to the car for it to work. It can’t open the trunk or do anything else though. I had to press it twice for the frunk… and the little white light in the frunk is flickering. No I don’t...

Yes I got the hood open. Enough power via the app and Bluetooth to pop it. Car has over 50k miles so it’s out of warranty. Late 2021 Model 3 LR

Completely dead in the garage. Should I just go to Walmart (or auto shop or whatever) and get a computable 3rd party 12v and install it myself? Or should I just wait an entire week for Tesla to show up and do it? I do have a second car, but I really would like my Tesla.

In these two pics, it looks almost like the tube on the dash isn't connected to a light source. How did you make it look so clean on the end where the light is coming from? (I'm assuming the light source is on the passenger side) Also, the updated version of the kit (updated 3 months ago)...

Somewhat. If I'm doing a lot of night driving (like a freeway drive) I'd probably turn it off. But just cruising around or a hop to the store and it's fine. There is some reflection up on the windshield but it doesn't get in the way of my vision looking straight forward. Honestly it's fine.

About 3 months ago they updated the adhesive in the kit. It seems to be sticking just fine so far... but of course I'm only on day #2 so we'll see.

No, just the 12v. It does have a power button on it, as well as in the app that it uses to change the colors. The lights will automatically turn off from the 12v when your car goes to sleep (meaning no Sentry Mode on, etc).

If you walk away and the car auto-locks, does the screen not turn off? Also, are you talking about when the car is plugged in for charging? Or just normally parked?

Usually they open 2 inches when you "vent" them, which you can do from the app. I'm not sure why they would be vented on approach though if you purposefully didn't touch anything. Do you have any climate controls set? Maybe the "No A/C" option does automatic venting to keep the car cool...
