    FSD. This should be interesting!

Robot taxi is just a marketing term. Even "full self-driving" is marketing junk. In the US, Tesla can perfectly launch a taxi service with what they have, which could be legal but might affect the brand. Remember, the iPad Pro is marketed as a laptop replacement.

    FSD. This should be interesting!

I don't have an answer to this argument. But I personally feel that my contract (promise) is with Tesla the company, and not its CEO. I wouldn't worry if the CEO got replaced with someone else.

    FSD. This should be interesting!

Visionaries think big and tend to be overconfident in their view. Dreaming is just 1%, and implementation is the remaining 99% and would take lots of hard work and commitment. Elon even said he would send humans to Mars in a decade. To send a human to the moon in a decade took a million people...

iPhone 14 Pro Max in Model Y

Try ios 16.0.1. Few bugs were reported during beta including overheating so quite possible apple might have over-tuned things for launch.

S3xy buttons and voice commands are other ways to reduce the speed. You can momentarily enable AP and change the setting too. It's a downside due to the lack of physical buttons.

Did you perform two button reset? In general a reset would ensure a clean slate while reporting bugs. (Clean camera would also help)

Feature complete is for a version. You can launch products that are complete but with an evolving roadmap that could take a while.

    FSD. This should be interesting!

FSD is a promise to implement full self driving. There are people who believe in this promise fully knowing that they personally may not benefit. Auto park and summon could improve in the future while the current focus is entirely on FSD beta public launch.

    FSD. This should be interesting!

Do you know the driving license pass rate in a city is much lower than country or town? Have you seen any human driver drive perfectly in New York?

    FSD. This should be interesting!

I can promise you there are several thousand happy Tesla owners in the UK. This forum is not representative of this in any shape or form. I honestly cant wait to test FSD and have a much realistic understanding of how long producing a realworld AI might take.

    Supercharging costs rising

67p in most places. 34p at Heathrow and 38p on locations with ToU tariffs.
  12. P

    [UK] 2022.28.X

This is version 1. In a future update it would become clever enough to figure out charging stops depending on the route.
  13. P

    [UK] 2022.28.X

Alternate Routes works but the destination must be reachable without any supercharging stops.
  14. P

    [UK] 2022.24

As per the highway code, a minimum of 2 seconds or 3 car lengths must be provided even at 20mph. I personally hate traffic where people constantly tailgate giving very little thinking time to brake and risk a rear end collision.

Car adjusting speed for Speed Limits ?

If the speed doesn't automatically change you can tap the speed symbol once on the screen. Faster than using the scroll wheel.

It is an investment although a risky one. As per Tesla accounting rules all EU/UK fsd money is treated as a liability. Even in the US only 50% of FSD money is considered a revenue.
  17. P

There is always a reason for braking and slowdowns. Without radar it must be only due to the vision bugs which are quite limited.
  18. P

    [UK] 2022.24

24.8 is rock solid. Take the update and you wont regret it. The issues reported with AHB and auto wipers aren't new but many are seeing for the first time due to radar removal. 24.8 handles the high beam very well by dipping very quickly.
  19. P

    [UK] 2022.24

Hilariously, it is the same people on TMC who are complaining on Twitter as well. It has become so ridiculous that Elon makes a complete random tweet and people respond with rants related to auto high beam, delivery delays and so on.
  20. P

    [UK] 2022.24

Any pictures? It is working fine for me with 24.8. Auto high beam setting could be on but the car doesn't use the high beam in day time.
  21. P

    [UK] 2022.24

I can also confirm that efficiency has greatly improved since 24.6 since the car is quite smooth with braking like a ninja. Lane switching is also as seamless as 24.6 with 24.8. You need to fully press the indicator wait 1-2 seconds and then gently hold the steering.
  22. P

    [UK] 2022.24

I am highly impressed with 24.8 so far, although I have done only limited nighttime driving. I slightly feel some regression with the auto park since it struggled and used the wrong outer line at Costco today. Hopefully, it's a one-off due to the unclean camera—no change in the auto wiper, which...

I can confirm that auto highbeam worked perfectly on my local roads with 24.8. It dips much faster. Will do more testing tomorrow. Could anyone else confirm?

24.8 must have slowed it back (if confirmed) since UNECE rules do not allow a faster lane change yet.
  26. P

    [UK] 2022.24

Would take time. Fart noises do not need neural net like high beam or wipers. There isn't enough pipeline bandwidth available to do multiple things with the current stack. The new stack seems to do better perhaps by running a different NeRF algo or somesuch.

I can't wait to try 24.8. Completely impressed with 24.6 so far for daytime driving.

Any views on Q3 Model Y suspension setup or differences from Q2 so far?

There is a green brake caliper fitted by forge motorsport.
  29. P

Does it feel seamless? Like for me it switched lanes after a hard turn signal even without hard hands on the steering. Earlier it would force me to make a soft movement towards the lane.

How are the rattles, especially the boot and lateral jerks?
  31. P

    [UK] 2022.24

Is anyone else seeing an improved lane-switching experience with 24.6? I felt it was a bit faster and switched lanes instantaneously after a hard press of the indicator stalk.

Cyclists and pedestrians could use and cross the roads at any time. Highway code has been updated to give them a priority, so cars must wait and travel slowly, irrespective of how inconvenient this might be.

Very funny. Try learning about AI and how they are built, tested, validated, and improved instead. So many wonderful courses are available on many platforms.

Many drivers will get frustrated driving slowly behind this bike. Then they would attempt to overtake without offering much width and then instantaneously cut through back to the lane without even seeing the cyclist. They would give bugger all to the school sign while overtaking. AI must replace...

Auto highbeam with auto wipers and auto steering is just impossible. I had to abort my test due to the rain. My current s3xy buttons setup involves pressing Y followed by X and then the wipers get involved.

    [UK] 2022.24

The conscious decision was to force auto beam and auto wipers which now have more visible bugs. Forget autosteer for a second. I always used auto beam, and maybe the radar was avoiding many bugs from showing up. Without the radar, my car now uses the high beam on sections it never used. And...

I try to use auto-steer on every road with a dedicated button and am completely aware of its capabilities and limitations on the various roads I have used. There is definite improvement during the daytime to the point one could just use auto-steer without worrying too much.
  40. P

    [UK] 2022.24

Yes and No. Other people won't bother even if your car doesn't have any headlights until something bad happens. Right now the car is defaulting to safety first to reduce camera related misses making it inconvenient foe other users.
  41. P

    [UK] 2022.24

A bug is a bug irrespective of duration unless it is a design flaw. I am hopeful that Tesla could fix it with future software updates since this is the first release that disables radar for many.
  42. P

    [UK] 2022.24

During the daytime, the auto steer is now top-notch for all roads. With bad light, auto high beam is a letdown, and the logic is unpredictable. I still cannot guess when and where the high beam would fire, making autosteer and overall driving unpleasant in-town and narrow country roads. I...

Rumour: Model 3/Y to lose stalks in 2023 model year

Watching any headlight, even matrix-led lights would hurt the eyes, so driving at night requires extra attention. Tesla is lagging in dipping speed, where it constantly takes an extra second or two to dip compared to German cars and Volvo.
  45. P

    [UK] 2022.24

During the daytime, Tesla Vision performs much better for me with reduced alerts even with autosteer on city roads. I will repeat another motorway test tonight without the family to see how it performs—also planning to perform headlight alignment to see if it makes any difference.
  46. P

    [UK] 2022.24

I tested 24.6 last night, and the auto high beam just scared the *sugar* out of me. I will be assigning one of the s3xy buttons to deal with auto high beam during evenings for sure.

With FSD beta, you can press a button to share videos and detailed reports. And then if you read the changelogs, they even explain how they used that dataset to reduce errors.

We are paid since at £6,800 FSD is the cheapest autonomous vehicle tech one could buy. The next car is a Mercedes EQS with Lidars and other fancy tech at over 6 or 7 digit figures. There is another open source project which is gaining popularity.
